Hacking My games freeze when I play them

I bought a DSTT with an 8GB Sandisk yesterday. Added 1.15 fw, & added a NDS folder with several roms.

Typical symptons were locking up whilst navigating the roms. When attempting to load roms I would get the error:

[Rom loading failed]
TTMENU.SYS error!

There was also a "cannot create sav" error, too. Eventually the data on the card would get corrupted.
Tried formatting the card, different card-reader, older fw, etc., but no good. Then tried a 2GB sandisk with the same symptons.

I took it back to the seller today & was able to demonstrate the error for him, he replaced it for me & the new one is working
without any errors.

Although he said he'd never seen the error before, this post proves that it can happen.

Edit: I checked the photo's of the fake cards, & this one appeared to be real. I didn't open it up though as I knew I would be getting a replacement.

Usually if you get those sav errors, it's because your .sav files are uppercase instead of lowercase, which is a huge problem for some reason.

Yeah I had read about that already, but no sav files were being created in the first place. It was just corrupting my roms folder, renaming it from "NDS" to "DS" & "@DS", amongst other things.

Anyhow, the replacement seems fine.

Now all I have to do is some research on how to convert savs from another card so that they can be used on the DSTT.
