Hi guys,

My controls for the PS1 emulator are messed up on Retroarch.

I seem to have 2 options: I can have the analog sticks messed up and pretty much become 'square input'. So by moving the stick, in a game like say Spyro the Dragon, Spyro will charge forward. I can't change directions or anything. Either that or I can have my analog sticks work and all the other buttons (d-pad, square, X, triangle, triggers, etc) all messed up. As in all the binds are bound to the wrong button press.
I've been playing around with the controller settings and that seems to be the only two things I can get it to do. I think it's only affecting the PS1 emulator. My GBA games and other cores seem to be fine.
Is there any way to reset the controls back to normal? I tried deleting retroarch entirely and reinstalling it. Nothing changed.

I don't know why or when it started happening. I think maaaybe when I updated to the latest Retroarch nightly build (last night as of writing this).

Anyone willing to help would be greatly appreciated. I am happy to answer any questions and explain further if need be.

There are two different spots for controls, might want to look around the one located in the quick menu...

You know, it would be handy feature if retroarch could spit out a nicely formatted text file with the users settings, for debug use and people sharing their optimized configurations...

Thanks man, I checked out both. I agree, that would be way handy. I really hope they do too.

Do you know what I need to change under the options menu? I assume it's in input, but what would the settings need to be?

When you say deleting and reinstalling, did you delete the retroarch folder from sd card?

Usually, deleting the cfg files and the remap or rebind folders from SD card should put your controls back to standard

Yeah I deleted the config folder, autoconfig and retroarch.cfg and everything.
When I say 'deleted' I mean I took literally everything off, except my playlist folder and my BIOS folder (because I like to keep my BIOSes in the retroarch folder) and then put a clean copy back on.
I even took the retroarch .nro file off too.

I am downloading a newer nightly build and I'm going to do the same thing as I mentioned above. I'll see if that changes anything and report back.

update: yeah it's still busted. I did a clean install of retroarch and everything.

If anyone uses analog sticks for PS1 on retroarch, can you send me screenshots of what you have yours configured to?
