Hello
So yea, kitty Zelda needs help I think
You see, I noticed few days ago that Zelda's fur was all gone under her mouth
I also noticed that she is scratching that same zone a lot...
I put polysporin on this spot about twice a day
But she keeps scratching
I'm trying to stop her when she does, but hey, I'm not close to her 24/7

Does anyone have any trick to stop itchy skin?
thanks

Go see a vet. There are any number of conditions that can cause fur loss (everything from parasites to skin irritation to your cat being fucked in the head) and if you don't know what you are looking for (which appears to be the case here) then you are not going to be able to sort it by yourself.

My cat was loosing fur and getting very skinny because she was eating lizard, we gave her some special food and found a way to stop make her eat lizard and now she's pretty fat and fine

yea... well... Zelda is an inside cat
I highly doubt she eats birds or lizard :P
I'd probably use the

to get better answers.
hahaha maybe :P

I cant really afford veterinarian

There are commonly charity or charity assistance vets in most places I have ever been, and I don't imagine wherever you are at in Canada is all that much different.

Otherwise "can't really" sounds to me like you could but it would be a burden so suck it up. You own a pet and this is part of that.

More internet forums is not going to help here. The internet is wonderful for diagnosing problems with software and hardware. It is rather less good at guiding you through skin scrapings, blood sampling and culturing and even basic examination is tricky.

Wash her bowls since bacteria can cause this problem. If they are plastic, you should change them to stainless because it is harder for becteria to grow. Prednisone or a topical steroid is usually what a vet would try her on for itching. I don't think it would be a response to stress because the main targets would be the upper front legs.

https://thecatsite.com/ Highly recommended site for cat help. Call me an asshole but if you take a pet in your home and cant afford to care for it in situations like these then you need think about working extra hours The average cost for a check up is $55 in most places.

Well, honnestly, it isnt really me
It's more like mom who told me that veterinarian are... fraud... well... kinda...
She told me that if i go there, theyll find tons of new problem and tell me "If you want the best for your cat, spend money here"
Mom always told me that, so... you see...
thats why...

I am sure there are pushy and fraudulent vets out there, mainly as there are pushy and fraudulent members of every profession.

It is however a profession and you can find reviews of such things. Do that.

Equally do what cracker said and wash the bowls up if you don't otherwise do it. I always fed mine wet food so you do it by default but thinking about it I have seen people not go there if they opt for dry food, this despite it being not terribly different on the hygiene front.

well, I havent washed her food bowl for a while its true
But it's dry food, its not like it would attract bacrteria, right?
As for water, she goes to the sink on her own

I put polysporin on her neck, do you think it could be enough?

A substance containing all the essential components of food for life forms, oils, fats, proteins, carbohydrates, combines with a nice bit of saliva (better yet a cat saliva http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/cats-infection-bites-hospital-doctor-medicine-1.3880880 ) in a warm environment.
Actually likely to be so sterile I might as well operate there.

Less sarcastically as a general rule with household animals then if you would not do the equivalent with your stuff, or leave said symptoms untreated then don't do it with them. Most animals are a bit more hardy than humans but not by as much as people think.

Could have been a tick or flea, if that hadn't been mentioned already. Make sure everything is sanitary, clean all the dishes, clean her bed, if something new was introduced like a new food or toy, take it away. Good to hear the cat is doing better.

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves

why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages
  • Veho @ Veho:
It does that when I edit a post.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It inserts a newline in a random spot.
