Hey guys, I am setting up the PSX emulator on my New 2DS XL using this guide: https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-how-to-play-ps1-games-on-new-3ds-50-60fps.530785/ . It mentions that if you have a game with more than one bin file to combine them using the program they provide. Does this mean games with 2 discs, thus 2 BIN files, or just single games split into game files? For example, Gran Turismo 2 has 2 discs, would I combine them together? Help is appreciated, thanks.

No multi games will not combine into one game

Your talking about disc images ( BIN / CUE ). Not separate game-files.
You can convert the BIN / CUE format to either .PBP or .CHD.

The .PBP format allows you to create a single image from multiple disk images, like Grand Tourismo has.
.CHD does not allow this.

I personally have my games converted to .PBP. After testing both formats, with seemingly little performance differences, the multidisc support has my preference.

Wait so you can combine multiple bins? These answers seem to conflict each other? The two games with multiple bins are Metal Gear Solid and Gran Turismo 2. These are separate disc files, not a split up game. I have been told that CHD is more compatible in some cases, especially with the unai renderer. I am trying to play these close to full speed after hearing about the unai renderer update a few months back that allowed 60fps on most games, wondering which format would work better and what to use to convert it.

So after doing some research it looks like I can convert Metal Gear Solid's bins to a pbp file, I just don't know what program to use. Which program did you use to convert yours?
