In the past, I've had no issues with using the R4 DS card to play multiplayer modes on certain games (pokemon, Ouendan, EBA etc) with other R4 DS cards or the genuine game card, however recently, notably since the "Thanks for playing" incident, I've found that certain games don't seem to work in multiplayer when run from the R4. When playing titles such as Sega Tennis, Crystal Chronicles and Sonic & Mario at the Olympics the signal indicator in the corner always shows no connectivity and regardless of whether I'm trying to connect to a real card or an R4 I can't join games or host them.

I was just wondering if anyone else has run into this issue?

(I'm on the latest version of the firmware)

if the game is wifi you need a router/wireless access point set up to play it.

*that list is not 100% up to date, but what wiki is =/

you can read there for info on if download play/wifi even work on the rom.

with all that said it is probably an issue with either the rom itself or a lack of knowledge on getting everything working properly. if you had it all working before and now it doesn't first check with an official wifi cart to make sure it isn't an issue with the nds itself. i keep 1 copy of a download game and 1 wifi for this very purpose. if the nds is working the way it should then double check the rom and/or format your msd and start fresh.

goodluck,
