ROM Hack Mugen no Frontier EXCEED menu translation

ok... i used the patch but it converted the rom into a "file" format and i dont know how to change it to a nds format

Right click->Change name->add .nds at the end

new problem.
the patch worked and i changed it to a nds file (THX EVERYONE) but know when i try to load my game ( which i had before i even heard of this patch) it just freezes.
is there a patch that will let me play this game without this crashing?
PS my save game was made before and after i patched it i cant load the game anymore but playing and saving still works. i wanna know if there is a way i can play my old save file with the translations.
unless i have to start a new save and play from the beginning again

Most likely have to use a new save, because the old save would contain data pertaining to the japanese instead of english. Which flash cart are you using? That might be a cause for the issue too.

Nope the data have nothing to do with it, i think it's just a name problem.
the .sav doesn't match with the rom.

nope, the save file matches the name 100%, im using an R4 with 1.8 firmware and if the save file wasnt the same name then it would ask me to make one.
i hope there is someway to fix this but even if there isnt i still dont wanna play exceed anymore becuz i am up to chapter 4 and ive already seen to much
I dont wanna ruin the story for me so i might just wit till it comes out in English

I've patched and loaded on an R4 both with 1.18 and with YSMenu, so I don't think it's a problem with the cart.
Did you remember to apply the AP patch after the English patch? Freezing when trying to load/save sounds kind of like the AP to me...

i know theres about 3 different patches for Exceed so Im not sure which one to get.

also i wanted to help out with the translations but i dont know how to use the spreadsheet (also i barely even know how to speak or read japanese)
BUT i think that spirit command that Kaguya knows (and it costs 120 SP) isnt it "Love" like in the first game?
