I think it will end up like on the 3DS: everyone abandoned Gateway, Sky3DS and other flashcarts when Luma3DS and A9LH came out.
The same will happen with the Switch, but faster. Atmosphere is going to release, and most likely, in a couple of months, 90% of the hacking community will be using it.
The dongles still have value. Although I'm really liking the trinket internal install

About the Trinket thing... It also acts as a way to inject a payload, right?

You don't need to plug in your pc?

Nope, the trinket contains the payload! Looks pretty nifty!

I'm probably going to wait a little bit, we will see a few custom made solutions over the next few months rather than using the trinket

Oh my. That's amazing. IF ONLY I WOULD NOT SHIT MY PANTS WHEN OPENING ELECTRONICS.

I bought SX Pro only for the dongle. I literally never activated SX OS. I'm very glad TX gave us the option of booting an external payload, otherwise I would have never bought the thing. So much more convenient than carrying around my laptop and my phone won't send payloads, so OTG is a no-go for me.

Yeah mines been on a slow boat since launch. I use the phone at the moment, but the convenience of the dongle sold me.

Yep me too. Especially because I can't use my phone+OTG cable. It seemed like a no brainier. On that note, when I got my SX Pro dongle, I was very surprised at how small the thing is! I've wondered what's inside, but I can't bring myself to crack it open.

Team X posted an image of the internals In FAQ #2 IIRC...

they more like selling their universal dongle not cfw... u can use their cfw with any launch method u want and they said it's free.
not sx os clone.

They only saying their cfw is free (same as SX OS), no mention of backup loader which you most likely have to pay for
