So, is there a search function in the text reader?

Also, for the image viewer, does moonshell automatically fit the image to the screen (scale it down if it's too big) or do I have to resize my images to fit the DS screen before I put them on my SD card?

i don't think so.

i never did like using moonshell to view txt files. too much of a hassle

There isn't a search function in the text reader (it scrolls pretty fast and has a scrollbar, but meh if you are looking for a specific word, you aren't going to have much of a chance amidst a wall of text). The image viewer scales the images to a size where the entire thing can be seen and then the bottom screen is used as the zoomed-in viewing window (or was it the other way around...).

Seriously?
I liked the text viewer from the 2.0 betas.
As far as I can tell, there's no real difference between the the old and new one... it's just that during the beta there was an option to set the number of lines to scroll with the Left/Right arrow. For some reason that option was removed and it was replaced by one screen skipping, so for example as you're reading you get 1/2, press left, 2/3, press left, 3/4... rather than being able to set it to skip 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, etc.
