See above in my comments .... the point being why try moonshell 2 BETA when he's already using the completed bug free version on M3 SAKURA!

To add again ....Its a BETA version of SAKURA media player as I mentioned ... its very very buggy and a step backwards use the DLDI version of moonshell its complete looks like moonshell 2 because that's what it is! .. and it works no bugs I said that above!

The moonshell 2 is like a cut down pre SAKURA release media player like with the DLDI version it does not launch games but neither did moonshell 1.71 and its minus the left to right slider file selection! (as mentioned above!)

....but apparently my explanation as told to me above was grammatically incorrect!
JUST CAUSE HE HAS SAKURA DON'T MEAN HE CAN'T TRY MOONSHELL 2!

your saying moonshell is a cut down version of sakura when moonshell has been there longer than sakura.
ALOT! of us have used moonshell and if you haven't you have been living under a rock.

Hey guys! I heard this was the Homebrew Games & Applications section! But it looks like according to the posts it's not. I guess I won't find a place to discuss Moonshell 2 and it's betaness, maybe find a solution to the language problem.

I figured as much. Yeah, between the time of my last post and this one I tried looking at the files and screwing around with some stuff (files and readily editable stuff) and I realized in the end that there was no way to fix that language error.

I did learn some controls, if it hasn't been mentioned already, then I apologize.

When the lid closes, it automatically pauses, which is nice. Pressing L or R unpauses.
When closed:
Press L twice to go back one song and R twice for the next song.
Press L three times to pause and press L once to unpause. Same applies to R, but you cannot alternate.
Hold L rewinds and hold R to fastforward (which is awesome, since I always wanted that as well as going back one song instead of opening my DS and sneaking in my finger).
No more holding one button and pressing the other (which sometimes paused songs and skipped songs when I had my DS in my pocket)

looking at your logfile your mem card could be corrupt you may need to backup what you can and format and start over

the log says lots of files are fragmented

well, i believe that urpartlyright. yes.it is a buggier version of sakura.yes. moonshell folder may be sakura folder renamed and yes.i know all of you are pissed of at this piece of shit. BUT. ITS STILL A BETA! IF IT WAS A SAKURA MODIFIED, WHY COULDNT HE JUST RELEASE IT STRAIGHT AWAY? BECAUSE ITS ALSO BASED ON MOONSHELL. BITS OF SAKURA'S CODE AND MOONSHELL'S CODE IS STUCK TOGEATHER.

It would probably worked too if you stuck the language files from real Sakura in there along with the skin files no doubt most of the files look the same anyway probably because they ARE the same!

you could probably mess about long enough to get a fully working version by merging various files from REAL and BETA versions or bits of it! .... minus the games launching .... then again would be quicker to just use the COMPLETED DLDI version

as above this looks like a test version that was not completed in the making of SAKURA or one of the test releases before the actual Sakura was fully released and M3 just picked up the finished product!?

and now he's releasing these chunks of test versions for those out there that don't have the Sakura media player option leaving just enough bits out of the BETA so M3 do not jump on him for releasing the FULL version!

anyhow this is my theory on this one!

@ the rest IF ANYONE WANTS TO TRY MOONSHELL 2 BETA or any FURTHER BETA'S please feel free to try it!!

kobykaan, I think your theory is flawed and you are shouting too much. Say what you want, but you have obviously not compared old Moonshell vs. Sakura vs. Moonshell 2 yet. Try it sometime. You would see that where there were very ugly blocking artefacts with Moonshell 1.71, coming through the reduced colorspace - those are partially gone with Sakura through its dithering filter, but with Moonshell there's neither a dithering filter anymore, nor any block artefacts. Color transitions look perfect now.

Moonshell 2 is a very big step forward, IMHO. Together with the alledged MP3 improvements this is quite a boost in quality.
