How does Morningtimer works...If you shut your DS off, then the alarm clock wouldn't work right?
You gotta keep your DS in standby, just like the DS's built-in one (except this one plays music! yay!). I suggest wall power because it drains the battery a LOT faster than the DS's built in one from my experience.

By the by, I can't get 8.2 to boot up on my DS for some reason. It freezes during the disk check around 5,000 files so I re-formatted my microsdhc again, but it freezes after 1,000 or so this time. Anything I can do to disable the disk check?
How about trying to do a CheckDisk using Windows for your microsd? Could be that there's something wrong.

I was wondering, what formats does moonshell support because I'd like to use lossless formats.
The DS already sounds pretty bad compared to most mp3 players, I don't think lossless formats will make a difference.

.

I just press 'Select' on the main screen and run Morning Timer from the Applications Tabs. Surprisingly, it works after giving me blank screens in Beta 8.2.

the only problem with the ds mp3 playback is the background noise
It sounds pretty flat to me too.
there is no RF shield over the processor so some times you get RF interference from the processor but its barely noticeable and fixed with DSi. Still even with this my Ds plays music Quite nicely and I have High quality headphones 3-23,500 frequency response And alot of my music is in full 320KB/s mp3 format which sounds great

Damn, they still didnt fix the problem I have

When you watch Videos for a long time, after a unknown period of time the DS crashes at the end of a certain video.
Most of the time its this video that causes the crash: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Hn9GxtwsPw (as a fmt=18)
The crash causes the DS to completly freeze. No button pressing works anymore. Only PowerOff helps.

If you reboot your DS and start Moonshell again, the Video starts from around 4 seconds before end.
Its frustrating if you use the Video-Play as a MP3-Player. And it happens totally random... Sometimes
it happens instantanious, sometimes you need to play the video serval times.

To bad i cant speak japanese to report Moonshell X_x

So long,
Kernle

PS: To the translation: PERFECT !!! AWESOME !!! INCREDIBLE !!!

The DS has limited RAM, and sometimes Moonshell forgets to clear the DS ram after listening to a song or watching a video. Moonshell is smart enough to give itself the blue screen and freeze.

Freezing is a good thing, it just means that Moonshell found a problem with itself.

i cant run the language.exe thing because im using ubuntu, as far as i know there isnt a way tpo run .exe's on unbuntu, how do i change the language to English?

Just edit the [language.set] (in the \moonshl2 folder) file with a text editor to read 000 instead of 932 .

Good luck.

Uncheck Enable indivisual resume in the video settings, I noticed it's a new feature in beta 9.

thank you!
that was heaps easy and every helpful!

Regarding the gba booter, is it possible to use NOR mode or whatever when booting a gba game from MSHL 2?
It boots normal roms < 16mb just fine but it doesnt seem to have any options for NOR making anything above 16mb unbootable.

@xrM:
hm... gonna try that...

But there is something else i just notices again today. Some of my MP3 Files play very slooow, so it almost sounds demonic... My best bet was it's because some of my songs have variable bitrates, but as i tested out, thats not the cause (most mp3s with variable bitrate play normal). So im rather confused... I packed & uploaded some songs of wich i know that they have that "slow play" problem onto megaupload.com.

As stated in the included txt file, i also discovered another "bug". Moonshell only shows die ID3v1 Tag. But some mp3 files only have the newer, ID3v2 Tag (e.g. iTunes). Thats the cause for some songs in Moonshell apparently having no ID3-Tag :/

So long,
Kernle

PS: Morning Timer is also affected by the slowplay bug

Are any of the version currently compatible with the Datel HDD? I've gone through all the posts, and only one post had some reference to the HDD (And that was during 8.2, from what it seems.). Other than that, does this run on all other flash carts? I check the DLDI list in it, and I am unsure of the use on R6 and on AceKard 2i (I checked the DLDI files, and I am fairly sure I did not see ethier of them, but I may have been mistaken.). Sorry if it seems somewhat dumb to be asking of this, but I am incredibly interested on using this, so hopefully it'll be updated with the HDD DLDI patching soon.

Bloody hell, the new file info feature lags for a ridiculous amount of time when opening folders with lots of files.

Okay..... and if I'm using linux?
