what the hell Sachtka? that is crazy, just install CIOS249 rev 19 base 37. for WAD manager just select ios 36 instead of ios 249. that is it. why is it so difficult people?

With USB Loader GX, Monster Hunter on DVD and Cios rev19 with ios37 as base.... it freezes when loading the village. With Neogamma r8 beta 15 freezes immediately with grey screen.

Got past the grey screen (silly me, i just had to patch the video mode) still black screen after selecting the character then singleplayer mode (village). What could it be?

Here's a really simple guide (from wiihacks.com) that got my game working (after I tried literally every other option):

1. Download this: Hermes_cIOS222_223_installer_3.0_(rev4).zip
2. Extract/copy it to your apps directory on your SD card.
3. Run the installer, and install IOS223 as 37 merged with 38. 223! NOT 222! Most Hermes tutorials tell you to install Hermes 223, 38 merged with 60! THAT DOESN'T WORK FOR THIS GAME!
4. Run MH3 (making sure to select ios223 in your loader).

If you can't install Hermes due to a BAD HASH error it's because you have 37 as base, use rev19 and set 38 as base, you should be able to install Hermes after that.

I had that one too, try selecting IOS 222 to launch the game instead of 223

Is it safe to go online?
I got a softmodded Wii 3.4U and when i go online it starts downloading something. I'm affraid it updates my Wii Menu.
That loading is just the Game update? My Wii Menu and my cIOS are safe if I procceed?
I'm using USBLoaderGX

You need two things to run it, one is Hermes IOS 223 installed by using "IOS 37 merged with 38" and the other is the CIOS rev 19. The CIOS rev19 must be installed using IOS 37 as "base IOS" though, so if you did not just reinstall it. Choose 249 as cios and 37 as base IOS and that's it.

After that just run it with your loader and choose IOS 222 or 223 (it may freeze with one of the two, if one doesn't work just try the other one) in the game launch options and play

can you revert back if needed, i heard that 37 base causes problem with wad manager 1.4, will using a newer version work? will report back is mh3 pal works with these settings.

edit: i can confirm the game loads perfectly with these settings, i am playing the pal version of mh tri with pal wii 3.2E config usb loader, i installed cios v19 based 37 and i installed and booted the game, no freezes and 1st mission loaded too, very happy.

What do you think you are going to try? Do you think someone will just make out lives easier and patch this game?

i wish they did, so i wouldn't have to keep using different cios versions and risk bricking my wii with different aps and so on.

TIPS! install cIOS r19 with base ios57 at ios249 and r19 with base ios37 at ios250.

Has anyone reported any of these methods working on a retail American disc? I've tried the majority of these options and I get into the game, but it'll freeze at random moments. Just wondering if it's just the retail disc...
