Can't believe there isn't a thread for this. Who has the game?

I'm pretty new to the series. I played Freedom Unite or whatever it was on the PSP which I heard was a good one. But I didn't get too far into it because of how difficult it was.

I picked this game up today after hearing there's like 100's of hours of quests and everything. I'm on the first quest where you gotta get mushrooms.

    What's everyone thinking so far?

I don't need any other game as long as I have this! Or perhaps next game I'm gonna get is Monster Hunter 4. Until then, no new games. My playtime in MH3U is now 40h+. *coughstupidworkcough* Anyway, I'm looking people to play with in online. I'm HR3 for now since I've been doing some grinding with village's high rank quests to get better armors and stuff. Send PM or stuff. I like use microphone, so please use English or Finnish when speaking or writing. I'm getting sick of those German, Italian and France kids doesn't know any English and then do nerd rage when I'm not doing what they're say. I wonder why? :glare:

I would play online, but sadly, I don't have any friends who have it. And also I don't have a headset.

    You don't need a headset--the Gamepad has a mic.

What's the quality of it though? Like, do you have to hold it close or what?

Judging from videos of people using the video chat thing I'd say it's pretty good.

Thing is I play the game with the pro controller.

Actually I just found out you can use phone headsets. I wonder if mine will work.

Mic on controller works great. I play with ccp and have the Mic pad next to me for the Mic or to check on hunters/moga forecast/farm. 60ish hours in, hr3 offline lowrank completed. Just playing online now when I have the time to play. Stupid job.

Hit me up if you want to hunt. Anybody is welcome to. I mostly play Mondays Tuesdays and Wednesdays pretty much all day

If only the 3DS version had online multiplayer...

I picked the game up for the 3DS. I'm going on a week long trip without internet access, so it only made sense to have a uber long game on hand to keep me sane while I hide from my family! Will I get the Wii U version? If the save transfer is easy to do back and fourth, I don't see why not.

I play it with a Pro Controller and use the Gamepad as a second display with the mic, and it works just fine--no complaints from friends or strangers yet.

You can also pipe *all* the audio through the Gamepad (if you're using--or not--headphones), so you can disable the speakers on your TV if you're worried about feedback.

We should play sometime yes? Im really new to the series and will actually admit I'm a noob. I just did the quest where you gotta get the 3 unique mushrooms. I can't figure out the online menus or anything.

It's easy to transfer saves. You can also play online with the packet relay tool capcom released. However you need your wiiu to connect to the internet through an Ethernet adaptor. Then the wiiu acts as a router. Only downfall is your can't create rooms, only join them.

Picking up this game after however many years since I played it on Wii... It's like I've lost all my skill.

Well, I've just been plowing through the solo quests and occasionally having a blast in HR1 multiplayer quests when my friends visit. I wish I had more time to play, but work...

After 20 solo hours later, I've ignot s set, variety of elemental great swords, and I've killed 20+ hi rank Rathians/Rathalos' (of course without a single plate drop) plus other monsters like crazy, done village quests to 8 star ones, killed my first Azure Rathalos in my life and I'm pretty sure I can finally go back to online. I'm also HR4 now, since I did multiplayer quests in solo. My NNID and hunter's name both is Edgeros, so add me to your friends if you want to.

That's what I don't understand, I don't know what the hell HR is. That's why I have no idea where to go in the online menu's, I don't know what to click.

I met someone online, he showed me a few of the basics, then I met up with 3 new people and we did a couple of hunts. It's really fun. Wish more people used mics though. Oh well.
