Yeah yeah, I know we have that other thread but there wasn't much discussion on X.

In less than two years, Monolith Soft was able to show us this while Square Enix needs 5+ years for FF Versus XII. And there's mechs, so fucking hyped.

My new abandon thread GIF :P

But in all seriousness, this looks really freaking cool.

I think I actually saw some floating islands in one of the shots (Not as many as Xenoblade ... but still ... )

That actually looks pretty cool. If they crank up the pace as far as gameplay is concerned so that the game feels more dynamic, this might be a good reason to get a Wii U... if it gets localized, that is.

It has a very large, open world and that coupled with the ability to fly give it a great feeling of freedom. I'm not sure if this is just to hype the video up but all the enemies shown are HUGE. It gives it kind of a Monster Hunter feel to it. I see a battle system similar to Xenoblade which is great. Mechs are cool ...

... and so I spy a chat window in the left side of that screenshot?

So what DOESN'T this game have?

If it's anything like Xenoblade then "pacing" is one of the things.

Looks kind of like God Eater to me, except with...a giant robot suit?

If the WiiU wasn't region locked I might have started to consider buying a WiiU now.

Sure is getting localised, it was in the EU and US direct too. :P

Anyway on the game, it's more impressive in terms of visuals because of the landscape size. Overworld is massive yet graphics still keep up. Good draw distance and everything. Wii U's extra RAM coming into play.

this game looks epic and all but after carefully looking at the screens i have suspicions it's an MMO which i don't like anymore.

Well Xenoblade kinda looked like a MMO and it wasn't one, just a similar combat system. This does have a chat in one of the screens but I still think it'll have a single player mode. Maybe a lenghty single player campaign like xenoblade with an option of playing it online or a multiplayer MMO-like mode.
Anyways it looks awesome. This, Smash and FE X SMT are really making me consider getting a WiiU. I had almost forgotten how many great exclusives Nintendo consoles get

there are only 3 players there, and looking carefully the screen, the max of players is 4.

It might be like Monster Hunter where you can do a co-op online play. That, though, used the WiiSpeak mic and I think the built in mic on the gamepad would be better than having to type to chat so it might not really be that.

Any help from anyone who can actually read Japanese to clue us in on what that box says would be useful, too ;)

Someone clearly hasn't played many JRPGs. Or much of Xenoblade for that matter. ;)

I haven't hyped myself up for an RPG this much since well... Xenoblade (and also Ni No Kuni ;D).

Played it enough to know it's paced far too slow for its own good. Played enough JRPG's to know it's overhyped. ;)
