Tutorial Modify ANY Wii 4.3 & below

I used this mod this time last year.Files and procedure for doing it where a bit more drawn out then than now.I have used the newer files on other wii's which worked fine.

Can I redo the softmod on my own wii by simply following the guide again or will this be risky?

My wii has been having issues lately,some stack errors at startup and my USB loader freezes alot.

If I cant redo it is there a way of upgrading the softmod?

Since I wrote that, the guide changed a little. Just copy over the up42x for your region after formatting the sd card, and go into the hbc and run the only app, it will install all the wads to get you to 4.2.

I'm already on 4.2>my wii was on that when I first modded it

I understand, weren't you having code dumps etc etc... I just wanted to make sure you start with clean unpatched latest ios's... Then follow the mod section...

Ok so should I do the update to 4.2 aswell then just to be sure?

This will install all fresh ios's and a fresh 4.2 system menu. Just format your sd card, copy over the up42 for your region, go to the hbc, and run the only app... 1. YAWM Multimod Batch.

Then follow the guide to modify 4.2.

I think there might be a problem with the 43mod.zip package. It seems to be missing the Hackmii Installer boot.elf in the root of the SD card. 42mod.zip has it, but not the 43mod.zip

Smash Stack/Indiana Pwns and Yu-gi-vah can't be loaded from a SDHC. I think this is the only problem.

Bannerbomb works fine.

Here's a question. I want to hack my girl's Wii. It's a "virgin" Wii, and I think it's on 4.3. I didn't know you had to have actual games to hack a virgin 4.3 Wii.

But I just saw in this tutorial, under this part:

Indiana Pwns
For US/European Wii owners on 4.3.

That files are included to hack the Wii? So I don't need the actual Indiana Pwns game to do this?

- SD card [preferably non-sdhc] with around 700mb free [600mb for NAND backup, 100mb everything else]
- PC with internet connection & SD card reader.
- Wii [to mod]
Game only required if on 4.3 firmware.
- Super Smash Brothers Brawl, US/Japanese Wii's ONLY.
- Lego Indiana Jones, US/Europe Wii's ONLY.
- Yu-Gi-OH 5D's Wheelie Breakers, All Wii's.
