BootMii IOS from update.zip or modify.zip? Sorry for all the questions, I want to be absolutely certain before I do anything...
You install BootMii IOS with the Hackmii installer

So it doesn't make a difference which .zip file I choose to do it from as long as it's done?

I'm asking because the same step is repeated twice in the guide. In "Update to 4.2" as well as "Modify 4.2". So I thought there must be differences in the installers in the zip files.

Ah I see now, the same steps are repeated 2 times for some reason

Anyway, it doesn't matter when you do it, just make sure you installed it and it's ok

If we don't have an SD port, how do we do ?

You'll have to get an external SD card reader then. You can't mod your Wii without the SD card.

Ok thanks for the advise.

Your Wii doesn't have an SD port?
His PC

No, if that was my PC, I have juste to emule a virtual nand or a virtual SD port or launch directly homebrew and my PC has a SD port.. A friend have successful destroy his SD port (I suspect that he used MS DUO PRO).

Wow, wait I can't follow you now

You need a working SD slot in your Wii and your PC. If your PC one doesn't work, you can get an external SD card reader, but if the Wii one doesn't work, you can't mod it.

More problems. I have an SD card in which the contents of update.zip are present and another in which the contents of modify.zip are present. When I put in the SD card with the update.zip contents in it and go to Settings, Data Management, Channels, SD Card, the pop-up doesn't come. Instead, there's a '?' in the first box on the screen. And when I insert the SD card with the contents of modify.zip, and go to Settings, Data Management, Channels, when I press "SD Card", it freezes. What's wrong?

You are trying to install the Homebrew Channel now? (If not, use the HBC instead)
If you're on 4.2, you have to go to the SD card menu (the SD icon in the wii menu), not the data management.

No, that's installed. I want to install BootMii again. I didn't install it from update.zip, I had installed it previously before following this guide and didn't install it this time around. And once I did this, after installing the HomeBrew channel, DVDx, and the IOSes, it stopped showing at startup.

Use the Homebrew Channel to load the Hackmii installer then

move the boot.elf of the hackmii installer to SD:/apps/hackmii/

You probably deleted the BootMii folder from your SD card. Run the Hackmii installer-> BootMii... -> Prepare SD card.

Thanks for all the help, it's finally done. I ran No More Heroes 2 and Prince of Persia, they seem to be working fine (so far). Call Of Duty 5 wouldn't load though. After I pressed load dvd in NeoGamma, the usual happened, it scanned, then showed some stats about the DVD and then a Green Screen. Had to press the power button on the wii to turn it off and restart.

Also, I have NeoGamma R7, should I update or let it stay?

Here's a ?

Doesn't Monster Hunter Tri require a cios with a base of 37?

If so then none of the cios included in this guide will work unless
a cios containing merged bases will work.

Also why not change ios250 to a base of 37 instead of 38 seeing how cios 223 uses a base 38 as well.

Or am i thinking wrong and monster hunter tri needs 38 not 37?

works fine for me using cIOS222[38+37]-v4.wad

which included in the guide?

I haven't had the chance to try it that's why i was asking.
Its just all the monster hunter tri threads all say to have a base of 37 and i didnt know if a base of 37 merged with something else would work or not.
