I made all the steps before this update 25/11 with the new cIOS, Is it necessary to repeat the whole process?
no it isnt, nothing is really new just rev15 if you want it.

Hey everyone

. Well, I've seem to get my LU62 4.2 modified. But I can't seem to get my virtual console or Wiiware games to load from SD card. What I did was, remove bannerbomb from the private folder. So now it's completely gone, because is was causing freezing. Then, I copied my private folder saved on my PC that was from my other Wii, which was in for repair. I don't want to mess this Wii up, so thanks for your guide, xzxero.

I just need to get the virtual console and Wiiware games running.

The step I was going to take was, patch IOS60 with Dop-IOS MOD. Seems to go to v6174 and use sig hash? I just don't want to make a mistake, so I'm not sure what to do.

if your on 4.2, then you have to trucha patch IOS70

the IOS70 in the modify.zip is what you need.

It maybe the old modify.zip I had earlier that I got. The ISO70 file was not "IOS70-64-v6687[TB+ES_diV+NAND].wad". But I got the email with the latest modify.zip and install IOS70, but no luck.

When trying to run a virtual console game it tells me "This channel cannot be launched on this Wii console.". I don't know if I need to go through the guide again with the latest modify.zip?

Hi guys,

I was trying to hack my 4.2U NTSC US Version Wii through Deviyl's Guide, but there was some errors I saw, now it's half hacked Wii. What will happen if I start this guide from the beginning? I got the modify.zip and ntscudowngrade.zip

NTSC seems to be good, PAL update is having problems. 2 files (shopping channel and IOS57-64-v5661) are corrupt

I had 3.4 Wii soft moded (HBC, USB Loader, etc) something like 8 months ago following the instruction found in this forum.

I followed the instructions in this thread, and did an "Update to 4.2"

I was expecting to have the process remove HBC and disable the USB Loader. However, at the end of "Update to 4.2", and even after a few Wii restarts, I still have my HBC and I am still able to use USB Loaders.... but I am on 4.2 (checked the reported config, SD button is there).

Are you not supposed to do "Update to 4.2" and THEN "Modify 4.2"?

Are there any behind-the-scenes benefits in the "Modify 4.2" that I am missing here?

Thanks for any help/advice.

Ajack

I downloaded those 2 corrupt wads using NUSD Downloader. It gave me the correct versions. So i'll install with the guide using those.
