When you install a system menu wad you need the corresponding iso that it uses in this case ios70.
If you only installed the system menu wad and not the ios70 you would end up with a brick.

You could install them all at once i suppose but theres always a risk of it bricking.

Just play it safe and install ios70 then system menu wad then use multi wad to install the other 22.

It makes no sense to risk a possible brick because you didn't want to install two wad files individually.

anyway, you can install the wads in any order, but as stated you can better be safe than sorry
as long as you don't leave wad manager/HBC, you'll still be able to fix it (although you wouldn't know if it was bricked or not

hey I have a problem I did everything the directions and new games work without problems, but I downloaded Endless Ocean 1 and loaded it hangs, and writes that "The Game Disc could not be read etc ...) know how to solve this problem?

that could be new enough

if u did everything properly (ie. restored trucha bug, removed stub IOSs, install cios249rev17) and u r using neogamma r8RC3 and it still wont launch backup disk games... then your wii is too new to play disk backups

okay so its definitely not your your drive then... it could be you're not using cios249rev17 (are you?), it could be your not using neogamma r8RC3 (are you?), or it could be a bad download or a bad burn, have your burned it to a DVD-R (I find DVD+R's always give me problems)

edit: i dont really know the game, it could be it has unique issues, but i just did a quick google on it and nothing turned up... so i doubt it

I use cIOS rev 17, neogamma R8RC3 and DVD+R (but I'll try DVD-R, and then when the write )
EDIT: I used DVD-R and game Work ! ...

Wt, im following this guide and im trying to install System Menu-NUS-v482, but my screen is stuck at Opening "System Menu-NUS-v482, please wait..." I have been waiting for more than 50 minutes already What should I do?

Hey guys,

I've finally worked up the nerve to try modding my Wii...only I emailed xzxero back in december to get a copy of the files but never heard back from him

can anyone pm me the link to the files, or is there another admin I can email?

If it's stuck you can't do anything else than to turn it off
I don't think that'll brick you since its just "opening" the wad, not installing it

It's auto-reply mail, so it might be in your spam folder somewhere
Try mailing it again and if it doesn't work, you'll have to google for the files (cause the Admins (xzxero is just a regular member btw) don't like sharing it through PM)

Doesn't this guide tell you to make one in the beginning?

If not, xzxero can better put it there

Sorry about my laziness, can't be bothered to read through this whole thread....

But at the moment, I have a Wii with 3.2 and NeoGamma (I hacked it a long time ago, when it was much simpler

). I was just wondering, can I just update the Wii to 4.2 straight away or do I need to remove the homebrew channel and Neogamma first? If so, how do I go about cleaning up my wii before an upgrade?

Thanks

You can update right away
Just be sure to have the latest HBC installed
