Hey. I've got an original launch Wii, and I am looking to chip it. I already have a YAOSM 3.0 Chip, and a chip socket. I still have to open my wii, and solder it in.
How would I go about doing that? Any diagrams I can look at? Does removing the YAOSM chip from the socket after it is soldered in make it "Plug N play" kind of chip? Does nintendo check if anything else is soldered on or if there is any incoming code when the firmware updates? Can I play mario kart wii on YAOSM 3.0?

Thanks in advance!

I believe the forums for yaosm have you covered for everything involving installation.
wiinewz.com forums is where it's at, but you probably already know that since you have yaosm 3.0

The socket makes any chip plug n play. Take chip out, update, put chip back in. Or put a different chip in.

There is currently no check for modchips other than error #001 which yaosm has already fixed.
Yes you can play mario kart wii on yaosm 3.0.
