Where can i find a free full video converter that converts mkv to mp4 format. not a trial one but a full one.the converter has to be able to convert the video with subtitles because the mkv video has subtitles

It's not specifically for the PS3, but it will end up in a format the PS3 can play.
Hardcoding subs is what you want (adding them to the actual video data), unless the PS3 supports soft subs, which I've no clue about, and most of the info I'm finding is from two years ago.
