I've noticed that if I travel along the edge of the included default map (the only one I've tried), eventually it doesn't render the blocks until they're a few feet in front of me. This is using my DSTwo, btw.

Yeah, the dynamic water makes exploring the deep blue much more interesting. It can get a bit confusing sometimes with no visual indication that you're submerged, but I suspect that's a temporary situation.
