I get errors while trying to install the cIOS36rev8.wad

Anyone know why?

Did you install IOS-16 wad ?

I followed the manual, so yes, although a second check wouldn't hurt, except i dunno where to check that...

can i update to 4.0 after i install all of this?

You may update via Waninkoko's updater but i will not recommend you to do it except you REALLY need new features of 4.0.
Unless just stick with 3.2 and/or wait for a MiiWii version with 4.0 options.

I tried myself 4.0 and only had problems with backups thru disc channel, so i came back to our god damn awesome 3.2 !

About dual layer games, where is it blocking ? Is it only with DL Backups or also with SSBB non-backup disc ?

Ok so i got everything down up to where it says that i finish downgrading to 3.2U

The thing is, it still says im on 3.3U
Also i installed cIOS36 rev 10 [which was a success] but when i check on the HBC it still says im running cIOS36 rev4

Can anyone help me out?

p.s. i have already rebooted my Wii... and everything still looks the same.

I have a problem with the "Downgrade" part of the Wiimii pack ...

Eerything went ok so far - installed IOS 16 and CIOS 36 Rev8 ... everything the manual said ...

I am on 3.4E (virgin) and now comes the part to downgrade to 3.2E with Anyregion Changer 1.1.

At the beginning i get :

Identifing as SU : Error ! ES_identify (ret=-1017)
Initialising filesystemdriver : ok !
Error ! es_opentitlecontent (ret=-1026)

Presing A leads me to the next screen here .... saying :

Warning : AREA/SYSMEnu mismatch !

Hilighted in red and yellow ... this keeps me away from pressing the next buttons ..8)

I have read the manual 50 x before i posted here ... i never asked for the password ...8)

Serial Number is LEF11XXXXXXXXXX ... so "no" unhackable" is think ...

please help ...8)

Thanx

... come on ... i know you know the solution ..8)

(this is a sort of a *bumb*) 8) - There IS something wrong in the manual ..8)

(same question is asked on page 39 on this Topic from another user : still now answer available) ... 8(

Edit : is cios_fix.wad the fix for that problem ?

Anyone ?

@FoGBaV

if Any Region changer offline does'nt work try cIOS downgrader 1.2 by waninkoko instead it always worked for me even when ARC didn't!

=>But you will need your wii online to downgrade

@Adriench : Tnx for the answer ...

One question left - do i have to install this cios_fix.wad for the cios downgrader ?

Because i get error 1035 with Wad-Manager cios16 ....

Argg ... please help me ...8)

Edit :

OK - Doing it with normal WADManager 1.3 installed cios_fix.wad ... strange ...

Now going to downgrade with CIOS DOWNGRADER .... Shit ... i'm nervous ...8)

(There is a serios problem with WiiMii Manual when on 3.4E ..8) )

OK : Thanx - managed to downgrade to 3.2E with Truca-Bugs and everything else ...

Wohoo !

Ok, i installed everything.

Everything works good now, but there's one exception.

The Disc Channel cannot read imported games... is there a way to fix this?

p.s. I followed the manual exact.

Hey, I'm installing this on my friend's 3.4U wii, but he keeps getting these errors when trying to downgrade. I've followed the instructions to the letter, but they keep reoccuring.

Code:
Identifying as SU...Error! ES_Identify (ret equals -1017)

appears before the thing warning message

then after the warning message i get

Code:
it says WARNING: AREA/SysMenu MISMATCH!

any way to fix these? followed instructions to the letter, so if anything it might be his wii, but does anybody have any inisght?

He's trying to help me install it, so let me be a little more clear on the error. Manual is followed perfectly but when I load AnyRegionChanger I get this message:
CODEIdentifying as SU...Error! ES_Identify (ret = -1017)
Initializing Filesystem driver...OK!
Error! ES_OpenTitleContent (ret = -1026)
And when I hit the A button I'll get the IMPORTANT BRICK INFORMATION which I hit 1 at and then the next screen shows the mismatch error up top at the Edit Region Settings panel.
I even dared to try installing anyway but after the whole thing looks like it's working, there are a couple errors at the end and when I check firmware version it is still 3.4U

Big important edit
After discovering a video in which someone with the same problem went through a process to fix it, I've also fixed my problem.
Here's the video if anyone is searching for this problem and has come across this post. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ymztv_AldFQ

Dear all, please help me:

What actually was done in the main menu of AnyRegionChanger, in the mentioned video (second 38)?
Just showing it to us and quit? Can you tell me the sequence of commands / buttons to be pressed on the remote?
Thank you very much in advance!

Total Noob question here, but does Mii Wii actually install the Homebrew channel????.
yes there are 4 options in the beginning of the guide:
HBC installed and on 3.2 ; HBC not installed and on 3.2 ; HBC installed and not on 3.2 ; HBC not installed and not on 3.2
If you pick one with HBC not installed, you will see how to install it

ok, here's the problem i currently have version 3.4E on my Wii. When i made the preselection to my SD card i choose " Homebrew Channel Not Installed, Firmware 3.2 Not Available. for some reason i can't seem to find out how to install the HBC.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My first attempt at Wii hack. :-(

I don't know the full miiwii guide so I'll just give the normal method
Get the files here if you don't have em: http://hbc.hackmii.com/download/ (i dunno if the miiwii package has them)
you need twilight hack beta 2 and the HBC installer .dol file
Unpack the twilight hack zip file to the root of the sd card
You need to put the HBC installer .dol in the root of the sd card and rename it to boot.dol
On your wii, copy over the twilight hack save
Then run Twilight princess and talk to the guy. Thats all (just follow on screen instructions then)
