I did apply for a sample but no getting one, so no regret.I regret not asking for a sample. I didn't realize sub 1000 subscriber users would qualify. Did they ask a lot of questions when asking for sample?

I think he meant dump the actual Firmware of the Mig itself.you will get the exactly same files you have on the SD Card, because is that way how the device works, it EMULATE a physical cartdrige 1:1 to the original one.
They claim it will work with pirated XCI's without the extra files (Certs/ID) but that is a sure way to get banned if taken online.I bet someone will make it work with all these XCI that are slathered all over the place on the internet LOL
maybe but only if you NEVER GO ONLINE with the (x)NAND where you run that emulated cartridge. Can it load homebrew .nro converted to .xci?
No it haven't:The RP2040 has its flash integrated like every modern microcontroller?

Even if it would allow simple homebrew, it would get you no centimeter nearer to CFW.
That's because the device needs to power the wireless communication to the button, and the cartridge have a small amount of power amps available. It's weird that this thing not only needs external power to work instead of getting it from the cart slot directly
yes it is, is a overpriced device.Seems wasteful and semi-deceptive at first glance.
I seriously doubt it because Lotus3 make the cartridge COMPLETELY isolated to SOC and therefore more isolated to HOS.I'm meaning an entrypoint into homebrew development, the scene is dead because it's so hard to exploit.. if xci homebrew becomes available imagine how many devs could contribute
It does work with normal .xci.I bet someone will make it work with all these XCI that are slathered all over the place on the internet LOL
I bet you money that all my consoles are banned from online already. I have one coming in the mail I'm going to put a chip in also, I don't really care about bans. Bans bans bannana ban banI think he meant dump the actual Firmware of the Mig itself.

nice. but don't you need the certificate files etc to run the game?It does work with normal .xci.
They simply are marketing it as you need to supply your own dumps to avoid legal actions from Nintendo. That's all.
Yeah, but that firmware should never will exposed via the cartridge pins. that firmware is not a game data. may be could be dumped directly from the chips but I don't think FPGA chips works that way.I think he meant dump the actual Firmware of the Mig itself.
Nope, not if you don't care about staying offline forever, or self banning yourself. Atleast according to a reviewer that mentioned "Sailing the seven seas is possible" but didn't want to say anymore of fear his video get taken down by big N.nice. but don't you need the certificate files etc to run the game?
and to avoid be banned if you go online with a incomplete dump:It does work with normal .xci.

ah okay sweet well all my shit is getting banned anyway so oh wellNope, not if you don't care about staying offline forever, or self banning yourself. Atleast according to a reviewer that mentioned "Sailing the seven seas is possible" but didn't want to say anymore of fear his video get taken down by big N.
Only problem I foresee though is getting game updates and DLC once you are banned. Unless the MIG is able to read SuperXCI's (Built XCI with Base, updates, and DLC)ah okay sweet well all my shit is getting banned anyway so oh well
ya true. of course I'm stating the obvious but you'll still need a mod if the switch gets banned to apply pirated updates etc to it.Only problem I foresee though is getting game updates and DLC once you are banned. Unless the MIG is able to read SuperXCI's (Built XCI with Base, updates, and DLC)
yeah that's another thing. I have an android device that is 5x as powerful as the switch as is the Steamdeck too I imagine, if I needed to I could stick with those but I don't. I like actual hardware only because I know everything will just work without waiting for an emulator update etc. But I do appreciate and like the emulators that are out don't get me wrong It's cool to tinker and see things work.Wow that's amazing about Mig Switch flashcart is working good.
But one problem is slow load in game when running. Hope new firmware version can do speed up load time more faster or need faster CPU speed inside chip of flashcart should give big boost speed to load game much faster. I not sure about that.
I think best to stick with gaming computers with Nintendo switch emulators are much faster than slow Nintendo Switch system due to outdated CPU, GPU, RAM and storage.
Really depends on what they did to implement it. If made as good as retail carts, they can't do anything. Can Nintendo patch this with a system update or a gamecard update the mig switch people haven't said anything about it they won't sell too many if you have to be on an old firmware to use it?
Repacked XCIs will have failed signature checks
May be if there is any hidden not used so far interaction between Lotus3 and cartridge a new firmware could activate it and render the MIG inoperative, but then a new MIG firmware could enable that function. Can Nintendo patch this with a system update or a gamecard update the mig switch people haven't said anything about it they won't sell too many if you have to be on an old firmware to use it?
They matter on stock. That's why CFW have sigpatches. If you are already banned, signature check don't really matter, and can the MIG read Repacked XCI's, that is the question.
Yea, your right, I didn't think about being banned on non-modded stock OFW version. They matter on stock. That's why CFW have sigpatches.
Not really considering you will spend almost this amount just to get the Mig. (w shipping cost) and still need another Micro sd card anyways.this will be great for easily adding additional storage… right now upgrading sd card is a hasle if you have additional partition for switchroot.
Also 1tb sd card is still expensive AF, with this i can just add additional 512gb sd
