Hello everyone,

I've been using SX OS for a while but I' like to move to Atmoshphere.
I've alaways used basic function of SX :
-Boot.dol on root SDcard.
-Integrated NSP installer.
-Some homebrews (ChoixdujourNX,retroarch).

I've never used nand backup tool or anyother operation. Never created emu nand.

If I copy Atmosphere boot file on root SD car, is it enough to use Atmosphere (instead of boot file SX).
will my nsp installed will keep on working?

Thk you.

You cannot just copy boot file into the SD card. There are a few important things you need to know to get this to work:
1-You need to install Atmosphere, not just the boot file
2-If you're using SX dongle to boot into SXOS, and want to use the SX dongle to boot into Atmosphere, you'll need to install Hekate
There's a guide, which I followed: http://3dsflashcarts2dsxl.blogspot.com/2019/07/guidehow-to-migrate-from-sx-os-to.html.
It sounds like you've been using SX CFW without emuNAND. Once you get this working, I would use Hekate to create a emcNAND and run off of that. On my Switch, I left all the SXOS stuff in my SD card so that I can boot either into SX or into Hekate/Atmosphere.

Hello WiiNinja, yes i dont use emuNAND, i'm going to read your guide.

EDIT= Do you know if i can install NSP from USB flask-Key with Atmosphere? Information is a little bit confusing about it.

Thank you!

You can use USB in supported homebrews (but no XCI loading obviously)
I prefer to install games from my PC using USB or network rather than from an USB drive. It saves a copying step. Pretty much every title manager supports that, I use Awoo Installer with NS-usbloader.

I also use Awoo installer/NS-USBLoader over a network connection as well. That' has worked out well; no need to remove the uSD card or "plug in" anything else.

I just migrated from SXOS to Atmosphere and I'm looking for a guide that would allow me to install and run backups like I did on SXOS. Can someone point me in the right direction?

You need to copy sigpatches to your SD card. You can download them from here: https://github.com/ITotalJustice/patches/releases
Use either fusee.zip or hekate.zip depending on how you launch CFW.
For installation you can use either Tinfoil, Tinwoo or Awoo installer

Do you still need a dongle or use a PC to inject a payload everytime you shut off your NSW with Atmosphere?

Yes you do. However you can also use an Android phone or a jailbroken iPhone.
Thanks for info, I haven't kept up with Atmosphere since I was spoiled with SXOS. I went ahead and bought one of those USB Dongle Payload injector.

If you've been using SXOS previously, you can also use the SXOS dongle to boot into Hekate, then get Hekate to boot into Atmosphere.
I read somewhere that when you boot into Hektate that there's problems with installing games with Tinfoil?

How did you boot SX OS? As wiiNinja wrote you can use the SX OS dongle to boot Atmosphere as well.

That may be the case, but I don't use Tinfoil. I've been using Awoo installer without any issues.

Are there instructions/tutorials for setting this up?

Does Awoo installer install both NSP and XCI format?

Hi all!
Been using SXOS for long time, i'm still on 10.2 firmware on my v1 switch and would like to stay with my SysNand on that firmware if its possible?! Been reading forums today (after long time) if i've read correctly i should migrate to Atmosphere since SXOS wont be updated anymore, so i have few questions...

I should make emuMMC and update the firmware to 12.0.2 (so my SysNand stays on 10.2) and use the Atmosphere or?
Do i need to reinstall my games that are on SD card if i use emuMMC or they will work?
Is there a way to stay on 10.2. fw and still be able to play new games with downgrading fw req with Awoo Installer (or with some other installer)
I will be able to use SXOS dongle to boot and use hekate payload to boot in Atmosphere if i go fw 12.0.2?
Since my switch is banned do i even need to make emuMMC?

EDIT: followed some tutorials on YT, done everything! :)
