I can see why people thought it´s ok to use it with your own (!) legit copies also on Switch 2, but i would have waited 1-2 weeks in case something like this happens :)

Hey guys, just a quick tip. If you use MIG Switch with your Switch 2 and keep it offline to avoid getting banned, you can also transfer game updates and improvements from your Switch 1 to your Switch 2. I tested it myself, from CFW Switch1 FW 19.0.1 to Switch2 FW 20.1.1, and you don't need WLAN/Internet for it :D !!!

Excuse my poor English
i tried too and it wouldn't work for me, maybe i was just doing something wrong. could you make a video or something?

Go to the game press + then to software update and then synchronize version with local users, create a group and simply join with the Switch 2 :D !!!

Tested Wi-Fi turned on without connection or internet

You people are mad you bought a brand new Switch 2 knowing Nintendo’s new terms and conditions on it and you used a mig in it! You deserve a ban that’s all I can say
I don't understand your problem, but I find it cheeky to accuse me of using something I don't even have. Who said I have a MIG Switch? I only described how to update from Switch 1 to Switch 2, and I can only shake my head at that

Mig has a perfectly legitimate use, collecting all your cartridges in one. It's no different than taking CDs that you own, turning them into, MP3, and storing most of them on a single CD. Same for converting movies for playback on a portable device. Nintendo may not like it, but there is precedent for doing these things with other media. Yes, they do open the door to piracy, but that doesn't mean it can't have a legitimate use as well.

I have a theory why switch 2s are getting banned. If you run an update on a game in the migflash on previous cart firmware and then try to load them you got an error message. It's likely the folks that got an error message got flagged.

Switchtools does claim he tested this on v1.2 but he's likely tested it before the firmware update dropped on migflash.

Anything you might’ve done differently than the banned fellows?
basically just keeping it offline then formatting the sd card and doing a factory reset while still offline. idk if Nintendo would store bannable stuff on the sd card tho, just testing it out.

it is annoying to redownload stuff from the eshop when it boots back up. but i moved it all to my sd card so i'm gonna see if i can clone it to my pc in this state before i use my mig then just put it all back on the card and see if maybe then i only have to download the home screen icon and not the entire game

I'm not taking sides here but lets be realistic. How many people do you think genuinely use it in the legal way?

Same number of people who use CFW for homebrew.

However if this was an accessory supported by Nintendo, I'm sure it would sell well. Who wants to carry around multiple cartridges when they could carry around one. Nintendo would be able to treat duplicates the same as they do games shared with family members. Two pop online at the same time? One gets kicked off. Piracy would be a non issue as only one or two people could use the same cartridge at the same time. No need for bans.

More than the number of people who install cfw. With cfw you can pirate and get away with it. It's pretty well documented that mig flash cannot be used for piracy without a ban no matter what. It's also plug-n-play, making it more accessible. I strictly use my MIG flash for legitimate backups (still no ban for anyone wondering)
