I am in line at bestbuy. I plan to open and update my switch 2 in the parking lot before testing it with my MIG. I made sure to use a clean game copy which has never been duplicated before in the mig to make sure they aren't just blocking common cartridge identifiers.

Check my profile in 2 hours to know if it works.

following for this

MIG Tested on Switch 2
I can confirm that the MIG Switch does NOT work on the switch 2. I don't have an express card to try, but I think this suggestion is MIG Switch propaganda. The Switch 2 should have no way of telling what kind of SD card is in the MIG

This was tested with a newly opened Switch 1 game which was dumped immediately using nxdumptool using MIG's official recommended process. The Switch 2 is fully updated.

UPDATE June 10th, 2025: Migflash posted a video on their site of the system actually opening games using the migswitch. I eagerly await their update to test using only my own, legit game dumps to be able to test if I get banned.

UPDATE June 18th, 2025: My Switch 2 was banned. I did not even get to use the new MIG update. I was banned because of my attempt to use it on launch day. No other actions were taken since then. This means it might be possible to use the MIG without a ban if you only use it with the new MIG update. (I am not complaining. I fully expected to be banned. Just sharing a datapoint)

Thanks for the quick update, I also don't think it must use express card, they themself are still waiting for the unit to do further testing. It's just a false claim.

Game full dumped with 5 files inside the directory?

It looks like the switch 2 has a hardware check against MigSwitch. Do you have a Switch2 cartridge to see if it fits in the Switch1?
No, I was honestly really hoping that the Mig would work and I would have games to play without buying any haha.

The switch 2 probably checks data transfer speeds of the cart or something. There is a long pause of maybe 10 seconds on a black screen before the error appears where it might be running tests on the cart.

I'm sure eventually flashcarts will be able to work for at least Switch 1 games.

What's your first impression about new console? :)

Just popped a threadmark on this so people coming into the thread can find it easily. Thanks for testing it out!

Whilst I agree with the consensus that this does not work and won't work without a possible fw update from Mig, Imagine if the game you dumped and tested is one of the very few Switch 1 games that doesn't work with Switch 2's emulation layer

Just thinking out loud

Oh hey more proof that MiG flash store are scumbags
I knew this email chain they’ve been sending out since April was a lie

Is that email from the official store or a reseller? That’s pretty egregious.
It’s from an official store

Dude has been slimey since day 1. He takes 6+ months to ship orders (if he ever does) otherwise he just marks it as fulfilled and scams his customer

He sent multiple of these emails too, so it wasn’t a one off mistake. It was deliberate just like every other malicious action he did like..Sending false legal threats to competitors so that their registar gets shut down
