• I updated Switch 2 to version 21.0.0 and analyzed the compatibility changes in match version between 18.1.0 and this new version. It generally still works, but in certain cases it doesn’t...

• For example, it’s not possible to update Mario Party Jamboree from:
• S1 fw 18.1.0 → S2 fw 21.0.0 → ❌ Error

Edit: Resolved • S1 fw 18.1.0 → S2 fw 21.0.0 → ✅ Accepted
• S1 fw 20.5.0 → S2 fw 21.0.0 → ❌ Error
• S1 fw 18.1.0 → S1 stock fw 21.0.0 → ✅ Accepted
• S1 stock fw 21.0.0 → S2 fw 21.0.0 → ❌ Error
S2 on fw 20.5.0 did accept the update from S1 fw 18.1.0.

• Another example:
• Iron Meat on S2 fw 21.0.0 requires a mandatory update
• But on S1 stock fw 21.0.0, the program can be opened
• Sending the update from S1 fw 18.1.0 → S2 fw 21.0.0 → ✅ Accepted
• Variation transfer → ✅ Accepted

Mario Galaxy 1+2:
• S1 fw 18.1.0 → update to S2 with 21.0.0 → ✅ Accepted
• S2 → update to S1 stock with 21.0.0 → ✅ Accepted
• S1 stock with 21.0.0 → S2 with 21.0.0 → ❌ Error

Edit: ⚠️Danger: Update S1 on S2 corrupts data, game crashes; this didn't happen on S2 fw 20.5.0
Resolved:
• Mario Party Jamboree, local update on Switch 2 → requires mandatory update
• S1 fw 18.1.0 → S2 fw 21.0.0 → ✅ Accepted
• The game launches on Switch 2 and works perfectly.

Report have surfaced that MIG has stopped working with the new Switch firmware version 21.0.0:
It's not working. We'll have to wait for MIG to release a firmware update. The Switch is stuck in a "please wait" loop on Switch 1. I haven't tried it on Switch 2 yet.
Can anyone confirm or deny this information?

New details:
Update: I created a new profile on my Switch, and the game loads. My primary profile is causing a reboot loop.

I haven’t had any issues loading games on the Switch 2, though I did encounter a “couldn’t read the game card” error once when reinserting the Mig. It only happened that one time, so I’m assuming it was just a bad read rather than a problem with the card itself.

I have a question about your S1 -> S2 update process. Is your S1 modded and how are you installing new game updates on it without updating S1 firmware?

Yes, I use 2 emuMMC:
- S1 fw 18.1.0 and 20.5.0 are modded
- S1 stock fw 21.0.0 is not modded

I use MIG Switch to preload the game on S1 and enable the match version with local user option. Afterwards, I use AtmoXL Title Installer to install the update. In some cases, I have to install the game using the XCI on Sphaira because the dump forces a fw update.

The update process and save game xfer should be in another thread.

Back to the the topic!

I am, and you can quote me on this 'still not banned' (tm) using pirate dumps on S1 and < pirated on S2.

Someone is lying, believe me. "Not an argument you want to start".

Show your proofs.

Edit secureboot and stonnedmodder. Where is your evidence?

I have no interest in companies, only want truth.

Edit: I guess let me Google that doesn't respect advance search terms but plug the query into real google

WTF is that? blah blah blah. Argument from authority? Circular reasoning?

Give proof as I have.

What does MIG say about the Switch update problems? Any related news? Have those of you who encountered this error had your consoles banned? It seems it wasn't so "undetectable" after all...

What problems and errors are we talking about?

No, why should I trust LLM chatbots like you?

I've done my own research and provided evidence.

You are simply regurgitating false claims and saying they are true with no evidence.
> Do you have evidence?
Yeah it's right here
> Why would I read that evidence?

> Do you have evidence?
Yeah it's right here
> Why would I read that evidence?
Because my evidence is recent and true and within this platform?
Post automatically merged:

Why is my evidence disregarded by the cabal of sb stmdb truth and other ninty shills?

Someone is lying according to my tests and evidence.

You all just say things without evidence. Arguments from authority and arguments from ignorance. Total FUD.

That which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

My evidence is REAL.

Put up or shut up.

Prove what you claim as I have. lying scumbags!

Banned since 21.0.0 (running 1.2.2) could have been due to two dumps using the same certificate.

Offline at time of banning, games NEVER played "online" i.e. when wi-fi connected / multiplier.

Games only launched when in Airplane mode.

Seeming fine before 21.0.0 - although I suspect that this is caused by the certificate errors of two games, the system must have a simple detection method to say if a cart with the same XCI is inserted then BAN or that if a specific certificate is found and known to be a known piracy copy then to flag the system to ban.

I'm almost certain the ban occurred within 24 hours.

That is a cause of ban, and a known thing to be detected

If you provided a a private donor cert it maybe could have slowed the ban down. But as far as the community is aware it does have to match the game to be undetected

I.e can’t use Lego Batman cert for Pokemon

Are you saying if I used the same private certificate for every dump then I would have been safe... ?
