Gaming Microsoft to bring future exclusives like Forza and Halo to game pass on launch day

In an rather interesting move, Microsoft has announced that all future Xbox exclusive game releases (such as Halo, Forza, gears of war, etc.) will be available through Xbox game pass the day they launch. This new trend will start with Rare's Sea of Thieves and will also include other anticipated games such as Crackdown 3 and State of Decay 2 when they first launch. Xbox game pass launched in June of 2017, and currently costs $9.99 for a month subscription.

In the interview Phil Spencer said that "we will continue to invest more and more into first party". Hopefully that means that they're working on something new(like the new rumored Fable game).

yeah I shared an article a week ago that there might be a new MechWarrior game in development as well. I meant to say for third party games as well. That it would encourage some warner bros or Capcom or others games to come to game pass day one. Assuming it is successful

I think it'll do fine as It seems like a no brainer to me from the perspective of a consumer. Want to play the Crackdown 3 campaign? Just go buy a month of game pass for $10 and play it instead of dropping a whole $60. Plus once you get done with playing Crackdown through game pass you can go play something else if you have some time left on your game pass subscription.
