The tech giant Microsoft has reportedly acquired the open source code hosting website GitHub! Earlier today, reports came out that Microsoft had been thinking about buying up GitHub and it seems it has happened! The final decision could be reported tomorrow!

Do you agree with this acquisition? Are you going to migrate to another git hosting site if this deal goes through?

time to let github rot then.

I knew microsoft "open source" interest was nothing but a way to replace opensource code with their own "standards".

Tl;dr Nothing has been confirmed yet. Move along.

First they ruin Skype, and then Minecraft... now GitHub? Fuck Microsoft... If the Yahoo acquisition would have gone through, I would have attempted to sue Microsoft. I went with Yahoo mail instead of Hotmail PURPOSELY so Microsoft wouldn't be all up in my shit. Surely you could see my frustrations if that had been a successful buy-out. Microsoft needs to stop.

Github had already started turning shit with their policy changes and lessened features for developers that aren't paying them, I don't think Microsoft purchasing them would significantly make things worse.
