They'll probably start holding their own keynote event like every other company seems to be doing nowadays.

For the love of God the world won't end next year, only the Mayan calendar just ends in 2012 and Sir Issac Newton already said the world will end in 2060, we have a little over 48 years to live.

Honestly, Microsoft's CES keynote was the only one I actually watched. I'll miss it.

I've heard about the Tokyo Game Show being seen as irrelevant, but CES? This is definitely a surprise.

I'm interested in hearing their explanation... whenever they get around to it.

Simple. Microsoft sold everything they own to Apple. So no matter what Jobs now owns your soul.

I guess it has been long known that Microsoft has been trying to emulate Apples 'success'.

This is just another move by them to bring them more inline with their operations and will start hosting events of their own.

With an annual revenue of $69+ billion, I would say that they are mighty successful on their own.

Yup, that's what's going to happen. Don't really mind it + from a business perspective, I think that's beneficial for them. On CES there are hundreds/thousands of products shown, it's very easy to see your product get lost, and not getting the attention it deserves.

I think it's a good idea to not do a keynote at CES. But I still think it's a good idea to show off products at CES. Just to get the word out.

How could MS or Apple own my soul if I'm using Linux on my PCs or Android on my phone/tablet/MP3 player?
