Gaming MHT: Banned after changing your name?

Hi guys,
at the beginning of the game i chose my real name as my characters name because i didn't knew that this will be my online name too.
So i recognized that there is an ocarina-code to change the characters name.
But will i be banned after the change?
This is not realy a cheat and i have to activate it only once, but will capcom see that i changed my name?

haven't tried, but read people did and did not get banned
and no won't affect you're friendroster...
you're friendroster get's stored according to you're wiiID so as long as you don't change that you're friendroster won't change

I promise you, they have much bigger processing concerns than checking their DBs to see if someone's name entry has changed from the previous day.

If it doesn't affect game play I don't see what the issue is. Also, if it doesn't affect game play it's not really a cheat in the first place.

MH3's ban checks are balls-terrible. Pretty much the only thing they'll ban for is having online-only equipment or upgrades equipped that you can't attain yet according to HR or event quests.

If others are reporting they can namechange fine, then you shouldn't have any issue.

what about killing boss times? i killed a barroth in less than a minute offline. will i get banned online

Nope, I tested this and as long as you don't use the cheats online then you're good.

Nope, I tested this and as long as you don't use the cheats online then you're good.

So do i understand it right that you changed your name, went offline first and then online and nothing happened?
And how about your fiends friend-list? Is your name changed too? Automatic?

You can kill a Barroth in less than a minute online and be fine. Hell, you can cap two Barroths in less than thirty seconds and they won't notice anything (but you still won't get the fucking tags).

Like I said, all you really have to stay away from is equipment that you're not supposed to have yet, and maybe ridiculously large HR jumps in small periods of time. Players might report you if you're doing something obviously stupid like moonjumping back and forth over them while OHKOing everything, but barely anything'll trigger autobans.

So I can play solo online and use the OHKO cheat so I can get my Hr Rank up by three levels by killing the rathain?

I changed my name two days before and played some hours online and nothing happened. No ban or something like that.
So you dont have to worry about changing your name in future!

how did you get the OHKO hack working online? w/e i try it i get an error 20109 but once the hack code is deleted from my SD i can connect just fine online
im running Mh3 on wiiflow and all hacks work FINE offline

btw OP the name change DOES not get you banned or anything seeing as i changed my onlone name a while ago and have been playing FINE for nearly 3 weeks
