Metroid Prime 1 - Where do i go??

Been Playing Prime Trilogy via Primehack, wanted to get back into it... but im so super lost.
Started the game and cant find out where to go.
Looked at the world map, i see no quest marker.
I vaguely remember fighting a big plant last year... but im so lost and i have no idea what to do or where to go.

Major Facepalm.
Is there no quest marker anywhere??

The game sometimes gets impatient with you and reminds you where to go (unless you've turned hints off in the options), which is super annoying if you're trying to sequence break and are intentionally exploring the opposite side of the planet…

The giant plant is indeed one of the early bosses.

Have you fought the wasps and got the missiles, and beetle for the morph ball, yet? The Chozo Ruins should probably be your first target.

In general, scan everything, shoot everything, bomb everything. If you're still quite early in the game, there shouldn't be too many areas to scour.

it totally did! it told me where to go after wandering aimlessly for ages.
i had to go to the ice temple and get the wave beam, that was my next step and i was so clueless.

That's good and all, but, does anyone here know how to make Metroid crawl?
I'm stuck at the beginning of the game.
Thought it was like in zelda, when you get a tiny hole it auto crawls.

heh, depends on which version youre playing. primehack enables morphball mode on l1, on gamecube its the x-button
