Is MENUdo EVER going to come out? Im getting bored waiting.

Anyone know if the maker of MENUdo has accidently killed themselves..?
Woohoo?

I have not tried it myself, but from what I have heard from the feature list, straight from soulanger himself, it will blow any and all firmwares out of the water. And that is as much as I can say at this point.

If it gets out it gets out.
You will notice if it does.
For now you just gotta stick to firmware available to you.

Yeah, but how do we know that there is progress? Is there proof?
Oh, and of course I'll get it straight when it comes out

I hope it can load Commercial Roms/homebrews, support cheats etc... that would be fantastic!

There won't be commercial ROM loading, except for one card (If Soul chooses a card manufacturer). Testers have alternate methods for ROM loading, but that's a tester-only thing if I recall correctly. Progress is being made, and from what I've heard the other testers say MENUdo is becoming very close to release. I've been out of the loop for a bit, but I'm getting back on track.

Then it's pretty worthless as firmware.

What can it do that Moonshell2 doesn't already?

A LOT more than music, videos, images, and homebrew. The wifi capabilities are mindblowing, but I'm not sure if I can say what it offers yet.

Doesn't it offer a little sig thing you can put on GBATemp or somewhere so people know exactly what games you've been playing? Or am I thinking of another upcoming unnofficial firmware?

Remember, MENUdo doesn't support games except for one flashcart.

Yeah.. that's pretty much the standard, blanket answer given for any real questions that have been asked.
"It's SO kewl and stuff but we can't say what it does!!!"

The wifi capabilities are mindblowing,
Uh huh...
Sorry... call me skeptical but I think the hardware limitations would rule out anything "mindblowing".

That's one thing. It's a gamercard. Example:

Well, If it can't load any Commercial games, then I agree, It's useless!!
I hope they'll find a way to launch commercial roms through YSMenu
bow.gif

I don't have Moonshell anymore, because of the lack of rom loading.
This could be the same, though I hope not...

Oh, and has soulanger given a release date yet?! It has been a while...

Moonshell 2.06 is the latest version that can use linoul's YSMenu Loader properly.
With 2.07, 2.08 and anything later, there's a simple 'hack' to get it working:[*]Follow the steps normally to get the loader working[*]Rename nds.YSloaderForMS2.nds to ds.YSloaderForMS2.nds[*]Rename all your commercial .NDS files to .DSYou'll now be able to load them like normal, the only down side is, it uses the Default DS icon (or the Unknown maybe?).
Having used both 2.06 and 2.08 I have to say I like v2.06 of Moonshell better -- and not because of the icons.

there's also another workaround,but it's a bit more complicated.

Care to explain?
You're the second or third person to mention another method, but offer no explanation.

I think this "MENUdo" is vaporware.

The author has been working on it for going on 2 years now and there hasn't been any news since he released the demo a year and a half ago.
