Hey guys,

I'm about to order this memory card for my PSP. And I just wanted to make sure that this will indeed work with the PSP.

It's a SanDisk 4GB Memory Stick Micro M2 Flash Memory Card (Bulk Package) w/MS Pro Duo Adapter. So I'm just making sure that with the Pro Duo Adapter that this memory card will work on the PSP. I'm almost positive it does, I've just never gotten a memory card for my PSP with a pro duo adapter before.

Thanks for any info.

I've never seen that one, so I'm not sure. Here are some other recommendations in the same price range, and both are fast (fast is important when running certain ISO's, like GTA and God of War, etc.):

Oops, I was also going to link to the Sandisk Ultra II 4 gig at Bestbuy, but it's not on sale anymore. It is 62 bucks now, but a week or so ago it was 44 dollars.

It's the same price and you won't need an adapter. Sandisk is a good quality brand for the psp. They are faster than the sony and lexar memory sticks. I bought this one when it was $105 a while ago. The price has dropped so much.

That stick is not faster than the Lexar.

Funny... the fake MS I received with my PSP looked JUST like that. Then again, I didn't get it myself, it just came with the PSP.

SanDisk UltraII or ExtremeIII are good for PSP. Lexmark PlatinumII is also good. There are a couple more brands worth mentioning, but I can't remember them off the top of my head. And just so you know, it's better to avoid getting an M2 - using an adaptor does lower the access speeds of your memory card (not to mention smaller cards have less capacity and more liability than the normal ones).

4GB is the fastest currently available (without getting the 8GB ExtremeIII, which is over $100 from Sweden I think it was (someone else reported it in a different post). There's also a memory solution involving inserting 2 or 4 memory cards, getting 32GB capacity (4x8GB for example). I've not actually seen/used one myself, so I can't comment.

Yup, I've seen several posters say this. I'll be getting my Lexar in the mail in a couple days, and I can post the Blackspeed results on here to verify.

But I thought most people say to avoid the lexar because of plugins not loading and lag in games?

I haven't heard about that to be honest. I've never gotten any lag in my games using either Lexar stick, and while I've had some problems with plugins I honestly believe it's user error if anything.

I mean, not every plugin is compatible with each other as far as I know.

Here are my blackspeed results with the one I have. Post yours up too solange82200 when you get it.
If you're right, then I might have to pick one of those up for myself.

Here's a tip: Format your 4GB card using FAT16. You will need to use an app called Swissknife. That'll let you eek out a little more performance from your card.

My two Lexars bench at 16.2 for the 1024k blockspeed, and they also have almost 2x better write speeds. Your card isn't bad, though. Don't return it.

The reason why Lexars are frowned upon was because of some bugs in the CFW. DAX fixed them, and now there are no problems. (My CWCheat works fine.)

From what I heard, the general misconceptions about Lexar cards are from the old line of Lexar cards, not the Platinum II's. I have four Lexar Platinum II's (three 4 gigs and one 2 gig), and they all have read speeds above 16, and the PI's are well over 800 on each.

IBNobody, I just changed my Sandisk Ultra II to Fat 16 this morning, by doing this that I got from Alfox in another forum (see below). What is Swissknife, does it do the same thing?

"How to format specifying filesystem
1. Go to Start Menu -> Run...
2. Type 'cmd' without quotes
3. At command prompt, type:
'format x: /q /fs:FAT' (without quotes, this is for FAT16 filesystem)
'format x: /q /fs:FAT32' (without quotes, this is for FAT32 filesystem)
(change x to your MS drive)

If asks for a Force Dismount, choose yes.
If it warns you about compatibility problems on FAT16, just ignore it.
If it asks for a Volume Label, just type anything or none at all."

That's still not released yet, I've been looking out for it for some tmie, it probably won't be out for a loong time, as the ONLY ones out so far are ones that only accept 1 microSD->MSPD, the 2 slot ones are expected next year, and the 4GB ones don't even have a release date set, although they dare have random pics around so brazenly as if they've already accomplished this.

Yep, this is the one I ordered. I was actually browsing Newegg and saw this memory card before I made this thread. But since I was ordering an A-Data 4GB Class 6 from DZ-Tech(because it comes with a free microsdhc reader, and I just like DZ-Tech), I wanted to get my psp memory card from the same place.

But since I didn't get an replies on this, I just plaid it safe and got the one that is in the link you posted. I wasn't sure if an M2 would work with the PSP. I have a 2GB Sandisk, and I have never had any problems with it. So I thought I would just stick with Sandisk for the PSP.

Before you do that, you might want to read some reports. It would appear that the high speed version is the same as the cheaper one.

It's alright the few dollars is worth the extra write speed imo.

Take another look. Though it could be variance, the cheaper card tested faster. Here's another "high speed" report from DX:

Read: 7.5 Write: 4 Performance Index: 271

With the price of genuine cards dropping, I'm not sure that even the less expensive one is a good buy.
