I remember there was something on maxconsole a few months back that looked quite a lot like this. It was supposedly all singing and all dancing though but that is what I get for trusting them.

I think that you're talking about Free VAST which some still claim exist (w/o any proof)

Sorry, never realized that this thread was old.

If you showed me this last year, I would've snapped it up.

But as such, getting sick of using swap magic meant I learnt soldering and then got a PS2 modchip.

Haven't regretted the time spent learning

Pretty cool. I would buy one, if only there wasn't this patcher thing.

They say unpatched games will boot from HDD and USB, but I would prefer unpatched games booting from DVDs and CDs

with the newest firmware, does anyone know if its possible to use a .ELF file to boot unpatched dvds using memento. on the site it says it can boot ELF files on memory card or usb. i currently have swap magic and like 200 backup discs, would seem a pain to reburn them all

whats wrong with patching the games? Does it take a long time or something?
If you already have a bunch of games burned, then you probably already have a modchip and it doesn't matter

right?

These are on sale at ozmodchips now. According to them, they are the only official resellers of the memor32. For the price, I'd rather just get a chip solution

no modchip, have swap magic and the disc is dying, sometimes takes 10 mins to boot. so its either get another swap magic ($30), get this memory card thing or get modchip (rather not solder), and like i said i have over 200 games, would take around 20-30 mins per game to patch, would have to turn burnt disc to iso, patch the iso, than i would have to reburn the patched iso. I'm at an order page as we speak, deciding whether to do it or not.

oh, ok... I get it now

i say don't do it. It would cost alot of money to burn that many games again

I'm really interested in this, but I do hope some places sell it for a bit cheaper.

This would be great as I don't particularly want to take my ps2 apart for a modchip, and even Swap Magic still seems a bit too rough of a solution.
