My mistake - I posted in a hurry - it is actually Spectre that is believed to affect AMD processors (as well as Intel/ARM). From what I've read, I don't see anything that would lead me to believe the processor in the Xbox One is excluded from vulnerability. That's not to say it isn't, though.

Ah well, was a brief bit of hope (for me)!

Its also completely useless since it only lets you read memory not write or execute which is needed for any kind of console hack.

As noted above, I was mistaken, and it was actually Spectre that affects AMD processors as well as Intel/ARM. My thinking wasn't that it would let you write memory, but possibly allow you to capture something useful from memory that couldn't otherwise be viewed. Just wishful thinking more or less.
 
People are taking this thing way to seriously.

Remember Heartbleed?
Same fucking story all over again.
Except Heartbleed was super useful. I used it to steal a couple login session cookies for admins on various sites. There's a lot of useful stuff kept in memory.
