see the FAQ:
How can I change the access the DS menu (e.g. for changing the system language)?

Either search for the firmware.bin file in your melonDS folder and start it or uncheck the Boot games directly option, so that every time you open a game, it opens the menu like on a real DS.

my current plan is to build the new GUI on top of melonDS 0.9 and then put all the other optimisations back ontop of this.

Unfortunately this means I have to ask for some patience until 0.9 (including DSi and wifi support) appears on Switch.

You don't have to ask for some patience. We are the one who have to be patience even if you want to release it in months from today so be it. You have a right to do whatever you want. We can wait. Keep up the good work!

Anyone else get a blank black screen on boot?

Edit: Oh it just takes a minute to boot, nvm!

in the game The Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass the sound dropped when entering a cave, I think I remember that in previous versions this did not happen,
https://streamable.com/fer2am
that was fixed shortly after the release and will be shipped with the next version (pretty stupid of me not to make a bug fix release).

great! :)
thanks for the fix
it would be nice a bugfix release for not to report bugs already fixed in the emulator
:P

I'm not sure if anyone else reported this, but Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days has a super weird bug where the In-game timer is like 15x too fast. It not only makes the save file clock way higher than it should, but it also makes missions with timers either way too easy (endurance) or downright impossible (do x things in x amount of time).

Couldn't you fix this with a memory editor like edizon or something?

Arisotura found a bug with the RTC some time ago, the fix isn't included in the last version, so it could be that.
