Is anybody else super-pissed that the controls for Megaman Zero Collection didn't actually get updated?! The X and Y buttons are useless; I mean, how hard would it have been to fix that? Was gonna buy it next time I'm in the US, but screw that. If they didn't bother to update anything for the DS, it's not worth it.

You can make X and Y emulate any of the GBA keys.
I have
Y=A (Attack)
X=L (Secondary Attack)
R as Dash
B as Jump

Basically I have them set up like ZX/Advent controls.

Erm I have

L = Dash
B = Jump
R = Main
A = Sub

That is and still are my ZX controls as far as I know.

You can configure X and Y in the controls menu on the touch screen.

How do you do that? i was just playing zero 1 and all the control configurations i could find were for the L & R to be Dash and Sub weapon, i want to use X & Y cuz my L & R are kinda failing...

Use the custom option.

When you go to configure the GBA controls look down at the touch screen.
It kind of screams at you that you can configure X and Y there.

I couldn't get it to do anything with X and Y in Megaman Zero 1. I went to the custom and was trying to set things to X and Y and it didn't work at all.

Once again, look at the touchscreen.
Then tap the touchscreen.
Then tap the sections with X/Y.

Oh, I figured it out...that's still weird...Capcom is still superlazy not to add them into the main game, and stick 'em down on the touch screen.

It would have taken them less effort to add them into the main game.
If anything they're not lazy enough.

Yeah...now that I can set it to the old MMX control scheme from the SNES, I'm pretty happy. I feel like kind of a doofus for posting my frustration at being dumb at using the control scheme setup.

@All the people who are complaining about the control scheme being on the bottom screen

Why are you complaining...Does it really matter where it is...As long as the feature is there and is usable. I've been seeing a lot of complaining on GBATemp lately and it's starting to piss me off.

@JinTrigger

I didn't mean to complain, I just didn't know how to use it at first. You have to admit that the bottom screen stuff for X and Y doesn't really make sense, though.

I dont think you were complaining and im won't say who cause Im basically making a general statement. You were complaining cause you thought that the custom controls didn't exist. Im sorry if it seems like I exploded...Its just that I've been noticing a lot of unnecessary complaining and it's kinda irritating
