I wonder how the critics will review this game XP

After all, it's a totally new game, would it be wrong to give it a low score for the graphics?

Haha! I would give it a low score since Capcom is being lazy on this one.

Imagine if Nintendo would make a new Super Mario World in the genuine SNES style....that would be wonderful!!!!
Well they did do Yoshi's Island DS, that pretty much had the same graphics and engine.

Apparently Capcom did this because they had so many people contacting them asking for a NES style Mega Man.

I think most people wanted NES style in gameplay only though.

Yoshi's Island DS looked horrible in comparison to the original

It's like amateurs tried to rip-off the art style...Well, Artoon developed the game, so that's actually what happened

And to make things worse, all those new unnecessary features (amongst many other flaws) really ruined the experience for me

To be honest, I wish this game wasn't made, so there'd still be a chance for a good sequel of Yoshi's Island to be made.

As far as a new Super Mario World is concerned...with so many romhacks around, who really needs another Super Mario World?
I'd prefer something like a "New Super Mario World", a Super Mario that's based on Super Mario World, but with new graphics and new gameplay mechanics...Just like New Super Mario Bros.
Even 15 years ago a sequel to Super Mario World would have had new graphics and an improved engine, so I really don't see why they should make a new Super Mario World that's just like the original now...
How are they supposed to make a better game than Super Mario World by ripping off the original? It's hardly possible.

If they do do another New whatever Mario game, I hoping they do something better with backgrounds.

Yeah, I'm not seeing any over-worked palettes or anything. This looks like an authentic NES game almost down to the 'T.'

That rotation-pill-thing pic can easily be done on the NES--all you have to do is load different graphics, mirror it on the bottom-side, and mirror Megaman's standard animation (same goes for any other frames not noticed in the shot)

yeah, i completely agree. the nes was capable of a lot more than people give it credit for.

i dont mind the 8bit look, i just wish they would have advance AI or an advanced physics engine (imagine mega man with havoc or something) or loads of sprites or backgrounds or something. the game also costs double the price of a nes game.

I love how people say that Capcom are being lazy just because they're using NES sprites, if they used the ones from SNES or PSX/Saturn no one would complain even though its the same thing.

Not one person complained about Contra 4 basically being a retread of Super Contra and using the same sprites, its just snobiness to me.

Capcom don't do shovelware, I'm sure they've worked very hard on this game, trying to get the gameplay right and matching the original games. Sure its a step back graphically but the intention is to make a new NES game and that's what they're doing. Don't like it? Ignore it and hope they do a HD remake.

Oh thank god, I was gonna rip my hair out if they made another 3d megaman crap. I just want Megaman to be the good ol megaman I grew up with. I cant wait for this now
