Edit: Solved using @opa334 solution

A week ago I lend my "old" old 3DS XL to my roomate so he could play games and maybe get him to want to purchase mines.

Recently he's been addicted to Pokemon Shuffle along with PSSE, he uses like 80 jewels a day and every day he's injecting items and money to his save.

The thing is, yesterday night he tried checking in in Shuffle and got this "Error 022-2452 - An error has ocurred, try again later", my first guess was that he was banned though I have never heard somebody getting banned in Shuffle. It looks like he can't access anything that relates to login into his NNID (Shuffle, eShop, NNID Settings). Friend List, Browser, and NNIDless online services are working fine (Like ORAS online).

I have tried searching for the error but both google and Nintendo support throws no result.

I plan on resetting his NNID with the nnidsave.bin trick, but I wanted to hear from somebody here if this is really a ban or something.

The 3DS is set with Homemenu -> CtrBootManager -> AuReiNand (10.7 Emunand)

If he's using that many jewels a day, Nintendo is going to catch on and ban him for cheating. If he doesn't want to get banned again, he needs to not go crazy with save editing games that auto check into nintendos servers on start up. But the ban will only last 2 weeks as a first offense.

That was my first though (and it's my main so far), what I'm curious about is that, as far as I remember, when banned you usually get a different error (0101 or something?) with a different name "online services are unavailable". And the fact I have never heard of somebody getting banned through Shuffle, I guess there's always a first.

Who knows what nintendos doing with the error codes now. They could have banned the system and put up a different error for some reason. Or it could be a problem with your CFW. And is the emunand on 10.7?

Yup. and now I'm more confused (and concerned).

I just noticed my current console is receiving the same exact error. And while I cheated on Shuffle it was a long time ago (and on a much smaller scale) and of course, haven't cheated on anything else online, so far I have tried with two different connections. I'm gonna do some testings once I get home since I noticed while using my phone's 3g. (When we noticed my roomies 3DS was getting an error I tried connecting with my 3DS and it was working).

In the worst case I'll just have to wait 2 weeks, but now I'm not convinced it's a ban, kinda weird it happened to both consoles at nearly the same time.

EDIT: Both NNIDs are working fine on the WiiU

Nintendo's support page say something about internet interferences, you could try changing your wifi channel

Wow I swear when i looked at the error I just got a "unable to find the error in the search criteria, please try one of these generic solutions". Then again, it doesn't help since the error only happens when its related to the NNID. Connecting to things like Friend List or Pokemon Alpha Sapphire works perfectly.

Also, I tried creating a new NNID on my old 3DS and the process fail at the last step with the same error.

Hold Select on boot, uncheck "Use developer UNITINFO" in the AuReiNand settings and it should work again :)
Thank you! It's working fine now, I swear I saw that option and disabled it 'cuz I had no idea what it was for, I didn't notice when I turned it on again.

Thank you pal!

Ok i'm starting to panic I disabled Use developer UNITINFO and im still getting 022-2452

022-2613 means the store is offline, and 022-2452 is for being in dev mode I think
