I've been trying to get this to work, but I get a black screen every time.

    I am using:

    -Tales of Phantasia eboot.pbp 354 MB. It's in a folder called SLPS01770

    -Popsloaderv3.

    -Black psp 3000.

    -CFW 6.60

I hold down R and load popsloader after I click on the Phantasia bootup icon.

    I get the popsloader screen.

    I have tried loading popsloader:

3.52 (this was recommended by sites but doesn't work)
    4.01
    6.20
    6.35
    6.39
    6.60
    Original From Flash

Every single one gives a black screen and I have to restart. I could keep trying all 40 of them but I suspect something is wrong. I guess I could wait for Tales of Phantasia X to be translated.

    Can anyone please help me?

Do you have popsloader installed correctly? You can check if it actully says v3 on the top of the screen when you hold R.
I had a problem where the same black and restart happened to me if I tried to use popsloader, which I installed using this guide], except step 7 of the installation wasn't there, so popsloader v1, which is incompatible with 6.60, was installed instead. That extra step installs v3, which does work.

which english patch are you using? if you're using the one from Phantasian Productions, there's basically a psp-specific patch that was released afterwards thats available on their message board. popsloader isnt required.

Are you using compression in the conversion to shoot?
