I really hope I put this question reasonably correct.
In other case, shoot me....or forgive me.

I've tried all the different Mario Partys I could find,
both with the same save and new games,
and it freezes at the same time always.
(I have an dsi xl, with r4i by the way)
In party mode I think It's called, after winning
the third board and getting ready for the boss. (hammer...whatever)
I mean it works for so long....and then death...weird.
I have to add that I have to disable the mic-minigames,
everytime I've tried it, it freezes.
My boyfriend has an ds lite, and the mic problem doesn't exist there,
it seems.

I have searched so much online, but haven't found this problem anywhere....
Please help....

The problem is just that you have a shitty flashcart to be honest. (It definitely isn't the rom)
The only good R4DS was the original, non-SDHC non-DSi compatible one, and only because an unofficial firmware called Wood R4 was made.

If you want to get a better flashcart for playing games like Mario Party or anything much newer, get an Acekard 2i or a Supercard DStwo, you won't regret it.
By the way, DStwo is easily compatible with DSi firmware 1.4.1, Acekard 2i needs to be manually flashed on a working system, like your boyfriend's DS lite.
