Gaming Mario Odyssey crash v1.5 sxos 2.5.2 on Switch 6.2

after beating the first level and getting enough moons to power up the ship when cappy is going over how to use moves on the ship the game crashes at that point every time for me and I have to reboot my system. I even tried making a new save and going up to that point still crashes. Is it the rom that I grabbed that is causing the issue?

delete the game and save data and reinstall.

System Settings -> Data Management -> Software -> Super Mario Odyssey -> Check for Corrupt Data
will tell you if it's your install that's the problem - it probably is. Redownload from somewhere else and reinstall.
