Hacking Question Mario Odysseus Firmware Update?

Seeing as the game comes out today, I would like to know if anyone has found out if it requires a firmware update to 3.0.1 to play?
Really don't wanna waste my time trying to get a copy if I can't play it.

Nobody knows, but given the timeframe they have to print enough copies and ship them out to retailers, I'd say the "Gold Master" is probably close to done, if not done already, and ships out with 3.0.1, or the next one.

You didn't know? You need to open the recovery menu and enter the Konami Code. The time travel tech is a neat little throwback to Mario's Time Machine. There's even a playable version of it on the time travel menu.
