Gaming Mario Galaxy help - Pengiun water lvl

Hi guys....can anyone help me out with what Im supposed to be doing on the Pengiun water level?

I'm playing the JAP version of SMG cause I've got a JAP Wii and I dont understand a single word of what the charaters say. I'm on the second star of the water level with pengiuns in it. I've talked to the big black pengiun and he's asked me to do something - I just dont know what that something is. So im current stuck!

If memory serves its either:

1) you have to swim in the water and catch the penguins with the gold shell
or
2) get into the water and grab the green shell and fire it at the wall ( if you look around you will see theres a part of the wall thats different - i think you just line up the shell and flick the wii mote at it.

Hm...what do I do with the gold shell? :X

how do you "catch" the pengiuns? i've tried every button haha....

So I've stolen the gold shell from the group of 4 pengiuns swimming around. Now what do I do with the shell? Am I supposed to attack the pengiuns or something?

Yup I just figured it out myself. I didnt realise I could take the shell out of the water....
