I know you're prolly going to "attempt" the entire game, but I would be satisfied with just menu, item, and location translations.
The Story part of it isn't my concern.

If a patch comes up, I'll DL it ASAP and if any grammatical or wrong maple terms come up , I'll report it, but why doesn't people just use hidden street or Maplewiki and Why doesn't someone spam MS customer service with hate mail?

We do need someone having knowledge of Maple Story. Like renaming terms, people and place like "Cunning City" to "Kerning City" or "Dancing with the pig" to "Blackbull" (Dancing with Balrog is the warrior job instructor whereas Blackbull is the guy with the spear)

That's what editors are for.
I have never played MapleStory in my entire life.

If you don't want someone without MapleStory knowledge to translate the game, I'm fine with not working on it.

Why don't you use elixirdream's AP patch.
It'll stop the freezing.

If it's not the freezing and your game won't start, get YoshiFlip's R4 SDHC Kernel Patch.

Since when?

The AP patch Elixir linked is to get past the AP that causes the game to loop the character creation.
IIRC, Elixir even said that there is still random freezing on some cards with the AP patch. I'm somewhat wrong. No mention of freezing being fixed/unfixed in Elixir's posts.

i am not sure it works on all flash cart or not?

this patch is made based on our extinfo.dat we only tested it on DSTT...
after creating a character we are able to get into the game (using our extinfo.dat)
might not work on all flash cart (some clone r4)
