What version of tagmo is that? I don't even have those menu options! I only have
Load tag file
Write to tag

Anyone got the namiio discs that could report the results of writing to them using tagmo? I am thinking those could be a good replacement for multiple one-time only scans (e.g. costumes in MK8 / YWW) if they can be re-written with android, not with their expensive hardware. The discs cost $6 each (~ 18 NTAG215 tags), but only come in pack of 3's - not sold individually.
I am guessing there may be special commands with their usb writer to change the locked pages of namiio discs. However I could not find much info on this.
We cannot rewrite an Ntag215
They function as regular Amiibos with read and write save data, but you cannot change the character. So can we use these as an Amiibo replacement, or once they are made they are a one and done and can't be updated from the game? Or are you saying this as in once they have specific Amiibo data, they cannot be re-written as a different Amiibo?

There's a short pseudo-partition at the beginning that keeps the information of what Amiibo the tag is storing that can't be written over once it's been setOK. I've seen that stated before and it always confused me. People need to be a bit more clear when saying that because "cannot be re-written" implies the data is static and cannot change at all.

Yes I'm aware that particular lock bits must be set in ntag215 before the console thinks it's a valid figure. What i wanted to know is whether the namiio tag could behave as a freely rewriteable ntag215.We cannot rewrite an Ntag215. I have been experimenting with that and both the 3ds and wii u check to see if the card has been locked to read only status
When I load up tagmo 2 it doesn't ask me to load the keys. What am I doing wrong?Hello all,
I've decided to make a nice tutorial for creating Amiibo NTAG215s.
Thanks to @HiddenRambler updating TagMo to use the keys and amiitool inside of it, this is really simple now. You simply need the amiibo key (Google for it, you'll find it on pastebin), split it in half, and TagMo 2, then load up the 2 keys, then the BIN files.
TagMo 2: https://gbatemp.net/attachments/tagmo-zip.37286/
If you want to do it the old way:
You will need:
- An Android phone with NFC support (many phones support it, most notably the Samsung and Nexus models)
- A dumped amiibo (Use the amiiqo app to dump, or google for Amiibo BINs).
- NTAG215 tags (one per amiibo - you cannot edit once made)
- @javiMaD 's edited amiitool (https://github.com/javimadgit/amiitool) - Linux only AFAIK, this needs C development libraries, cmake, and libssl-dev.
- An internet connection.
- TagMo (https://gbatemp.net/attachments/tagmo-zip.37286/)
- A hex editor (I suggest HxD)
- TIME and PATIENCE
First, install TagMo, Amiiqo (if you need to dump your amiibo), and HxD (use Bless if on linux), then start compiling Amiitool.
Next, dump your amiibo, and copy onto your machine. Use the web API for decrypting it, which is at https://www.socram.ovh/amiibo/ (operation must be decrypt, file must be the BIN). Then, open it in your hex editor. This is where you need to find out the 7byte UID of your NFC tag, using NFC TagInfo. Once that is done, go to http://dynamoreason.com/res/g/amiibo/uid/ and place it in the box with NO SPACES. You will get a 9 byte UID - place the first 8 bytes in 0x1D4, and the 9th in 0x00 (like the screenshots):

(Yes I blurred out the amiibo, it IS copyrighted you know)
Save this, then use JaviMaD's amiitool to encrypt, with the command './amiitool -k KEYS.bin -e -i filename.bin -o filename-enc.bin', where KEYS.bin is the unfixed info then locked secrets joined together (SHA1: bbdbb49a917d14f7a997d327ba40d40c39e606ce) and filename.bin is the decrypted hex file we just made. Once encrypted, copy over to your phone, turn on NFC and start TagMo. Once this is done, use the action menu and select 'Load tag from file', select the file, then 'Write tag' and place the tag near the NFC adapter in your phone (don't move it until it says done!!!). Once done, you now have an amiibo!
So I installed tagmo 1 instead and it gave me the option to load the keys. I followed a video tutorial showing me how to write the amiibo bin file to the tag. It said, "done". When I tap it to the gamepad it says "The device used is not an amiibo figure"
Shoot you're right! I must have ordered the wrong ones. These are ntag216s. BummerThen you did not use ntag215. Use the nxp taginfo app and scan the tag to see what it reads back to you and post it here.
Not sure I understand your question.how to makin nintendo wii you jtag2

Just so you know the link for the printer in your signature is SUPER brokenWell, if it can emulate an amiibo, I'm sure it can emulate a basic Ntag215 and reuse it as long as you don't lock it by accident. I do know that Ntag215's by themselves can be re-written hundreds of thousands of times.

i think this procedure is same as Amiiqo, they sell it for $50 using with android phone with nfc enabled
if you use mac, pc and want to use it, must buy another usb reader/writer for around 30 bucks
i just bought one because i don't have android and i think it too completed for me
if i buy ntag215 on ebay i must pay around 10$ for 10 pieces, i have to load downloaded amiibo .bin file to android and write to nfc tag one by one
the thing i purchased can store 200 amiibo in one card and they have app for pc/mac so i can easily add/remove amiibo on my pc/mac
but it so expensive, but i think it for their software cost too. and for convenience
there are also new product named Namiio, it look like just plain NFC Tags that sell on ebay, no any advanced adaption
if someone create pc/mac app, it will benefit more users
Obviously. They didn't work.Have you turned on the NFC connection in Settings?
How come? I just got the v2 amiiqo and don't see any issues so farI wont contest someone using an Amiiqo, however, once you try to play a game such as "Mario Party 10" in Amiibo mode, you will totally regret ever owning it.
