ROM Hack Making a proper patch?

Okay, I want to make a patch for Harvest Moon: IoH . I have already done the hacking and everything and now all I need to do is make a patch from the rom. I downloaded MakePPF and tried to make the patch, but it says that the original filelength and the patched filelength are not equal. How do I go about making the patched file equal in size, so that I can make a proper patch?

Here's what I use:

Step 1: Get xdelta
Step 2: Create batch files to create and apply the patch.
Step 3: Distribute xdelta along with the patch and the batch file to apply it.

EDIT: Nevermind. Anyway, I tried to create the batch file for creating the said patch, but it doesn't work. I copied the code and changed the names to the correct files but after dropping the modifiled rom and unmodified rom in there, nothing happens.

EDIT 2: Eh, I found another way to make the patch with xdelta now so nvm the above.
