I've just successfully created a multi-boot Gamecube disc using GCMUtility (to shrink some games) and then Make-Multiv3 to create the actual disc iso.

However, when I select a game to play (inside of GCOS[?]) I get options like:

X - NTSC
Y - PAL
R - 480P
A - Auto-Detect

I've tried selecting 480p a few times (by pressing R) but normally all I get is a black-screen with sometimes some audio playing.

If I press 'A' for auto-detect then all of my games play perfectly fine. Some games even prompt me for Progressive Scan mode as soon as the game starts. Nice!

So here are my questions:

1) Will every Gamecube game that supports 480p automatically prompt me if I boot it using the 'A" - Auto-select method?
2) What is the purpose of the 480p boot mode (for lack of a better term)? Does it work with any games? (does it enable better video output?)

Thanks!
