That's a good news. We will not need all those games anymore. And I'm sure Nintendo isn't going to do anything about this, the Wii is almost at the end of its life.

Yes, but I believe that you can still read them from the sd, because after a bit more googling I found that the files aren't easy to find/read on your computer, which doesnt make sense unless you can still read them on the wii. That would also explain the little SD picture above the bob-omb in the original video.

His reasoning makes sense to me, as there are going to be tons of scam artists making money using his work, if he's at least made something off of it first he won't get as pissed off when that eventually and inevitebly happens. I would totally donate, but I don't have any money (I don't think I do...) but I would recommend this exploit to anyone that wants to jailbreak their Wii without spending an arm and a leg.

big N's new update. to solve all of this hacking. brick every wii with an update.

so you'll have to buy the newer big N product.. an then cover it up, by saying they sent out the wrong update.
this would suck balls.

i don't think they will update anymore, they are to focused on the failed 3d's.
they will save the new zelda for wii u, to boost the sales of that system. this to will fail, just as 3d's is proving to be.

I know pune pretty well, prolly not as well as DeadlyFoez knows him, but still I am able to say with confidence that whatever pune receives he will give back to the community 10 fold. Seriously, if pune was get a $1,000 he would give something worth $10,000 of value back to the community (in the form of some cutting edge apps, exploits or w/e). It's just how he operates, he kind of reminds me of my parents that way... if I did my chores as a kid I would get rewarded times 10 for it... the only difference between them is I don't think my parents would choose a stripper cow to represent themselves, or be able to turn on a Wii (nevermind hacking one!), or make an app called pussyloader, lol, good 'ol pune

for those of u worried this exploit will be patched with a ninty update... a little birdy told me that there may be another system menu exploit in his\her bag of tricks for when that rainy day arrives

True. But you know the community... No one is going to drop big $, see crediar making some hack for donkey kong country returns, there was a guy here spamming the whole place, offering big $ to the guy who releases this hack(I remember it was all about the way you use to jump and stuff) crediar made it, released it and got nothing.

And thats how it goes, I dont think that Pune will see more than approx 150 $ all in all for this. "Community" just takes and rants if something isnt working as it should...

Wow. I thought that nintendo already gave in and just called defeat when it came to making the wii hack-proof (the list of exploitable games isn't exactly small anymore).


Of course it's good news...but I have to agree with others that it's probably better released after skyward sword. Or even after the wiiu hits the shelves (ey...at the very least, it would ensure that nintendo won't do a cheap port of their current system menu

).




I wonder if Giantpune would take my money to delay the release of this hack.

Back on topic, $150 for doing something enjoyable ain't that bad. Also, in my opinion it's satisfying getting donations not just because of the cash... here's an example... if I were to compare getting one $50 donation against ten $5 donations, I would have a bigger smile on my face from the ten $5 donations because more people showed their gratitude. Anyways, the point is, even $1 donations count for something, especially when they're accompanied by kind words. And honestly, everyone can afford a $1 donation, so there really is no excuse not to donate at least that much to pune (or me, or deadlyfoez, etc. lol).
