Sony just wrapped up their E3 conference and have announced a few interesting things.

-GOD OF WAR 3!!

-Sony Online Entertainment's DC Universe Online. Jim Lee, creator of the game, comes out to talk it up.
"Imagine being a villain and helping all of the inmates in Arkham Asylum escape and attack the Batcave," he says. "It's a project that would make my 12-year-old brain explode with excitement." You'll create your own characters who fight alongside famous DC comic characters as you build your own reputation.

-Instead of a price drop the system will stay at $399 but now come with an 80gb HDD instead of 40gb

-And this one takes the cake.

MAG
a squad-based shooter with up to 256 simultaneous players at once. Characters will grow and fine-tune their skills as you keep playing. So it's large-scale combat with eight-man squads and character growth and ongoing campaigns. Not remotely possible" on other platforms. A massively multiplayer game. "Nothing like it on the market today.

There was also some talk about another new exlcusive "inFamous" and some new PSN updates. More stuff added to remote play. Movie/tv show rentals and purchase is available tonight.

Well.. WoW is not an action game.. doesn't need quick responses.. on a battle you just need to send "Player X atacked with a sword and took 30HP", "Player Y missed the attack".. you don't need the exact position of the player and bullet physics calculations

First of all, *cuts self for buying a 40GB a couple weeks ago and throwing away boxes*
Second, I just don't believe the 2 hundred fucking 56 players at once. Seriously? You better hope to God someone that isn't Bill Gates can stand that much lag(If user-hosted o.o).
If it's server-hosted, then let's hope it doesn't suck.

The Sony conference wasn't that good...... The Nintendo and the Sony one sucked.

And for Sony, they made a terrible move, replacing the 80 gig model, with a new one, that can't backward. I was even planning on purchasing one, to play some PS2 games and PS3 games while at it, but NOOOO. Sony had to do that. Fuck you Sony, fuck you. I have a whole stack of PS2 games to play (I don't have a PS2), and I have to buy a PS2 separately? Bull *@($ing S(@#.

No offense, but the DC game look awful. It looks so last gen, and the whole idea of the game really sound pathetic to me.

GoW3, Blazblue, ICO, and MGS4 isn't enough for me to buy a Ps3 alone for....

Why did they dump the compatibility of one of the best consoles available? Honestly. I really hate Sony's attitude toward gamers. 2 years ago, in their conference,pretty much, what they said was, "Even if our system doesn't have lots of games, it'll still sell millions anyway." Now, they're dumping their own great games from their previous gen, and still expecting people to buy loads of PS3 anyway. Well guess what, Sony? You just lost a buyer. Even if it's a nice Blu-ray player, I buy game consoles for games, not multimedia.

I hate that they're continously losing Exclusives, but not doing shit about it. They could at least do something, but like I said, they're not doing shit. At least Microsoft gets some games, even if they're buying them off.

MAG sounds interesting. As long it doesn't lag like crazy, and isn't a Lair or a Haze, it should be amazing.

Also, everyone is ranting and raving about microsofts E3 conference but aside from a couple good exclusives (gow2 and fable 2)all they did was announce a bunch of stuff that Sony already offers (hdd installs for games, remote access to online store).
So of course Sony's E3 conference was going to "suck" because they already offered all that stuff so what WOULD they announce? That strippers will now shoot out of your disc slot and dance for you?

As for exclusives, Resistance, MGS4, Uncharted, Resistance 2, inFamous, GOW3, killzone2 is a lot more than than the 360 offer. Mass effect, gears of war? you can play these on your PC. M$ ports all the "exclusives" to the PC after a few months to make more $$.

The DC universe looks cool too I think. Sort of like a GTA with super heroes and villains.

Your "ALL 360 GAMES ARE ON PC" comments are getting quite annoying, some games just need to sell more in Japan, some games are ported to PC just because Microsoft wants to juice out all they can from PC gamers as well.

DC Universe Online? You can play that on your PC.

It comes out for PS3 and PC. See, Microsoft isn't the only one porting their games to PC, so does Sony Online Entertainment.

I have a library of PS2 games, because I wanted to play some when I got a PS3, but that's now gonna happen now. And around my area, there's no PS2s being sold under 50 bucks, because they're all selling them with some games I don't want, or already have. Either that, or they're being sold modded. I'll get one at Christmas anyway.

Also, I prefer Gears over Resistance, MGS4 and Uncharted are great but I don't find spending over 450 dollars for a console with 2 games really a good investment, inFamous looks good but I rather want Prototype, GOW is something I haven't played, Killzone one sucked, and won't be intereseted, unless it gets good reviews. Also, I forgot about Tekken 6, which I'm looking forward to.

So, the exclusives I want for the PS3: MGS4, Uncharted, God of war 3, Tekken 6, Blazblue, inFamous. Count: 6

Exclusives I want for the 360: Fable 2, Banjo kazooie, Halo 3 (Sigh. Yes, I want Halo 3.), Alan Wake, Gears 2, Ninja Gaiden 2, Project Gothem racing 4, Forza Motorspot 2, Mass Effect, Dead Rising (Awesome game. Old though), and DOA 4. Count: 11

DC looks like shit, and I play quite a lot of fighting games, like KOF, Tekken, DOA, Guilty gear, Street fighter (Of course), and a few others. But DC is something I won't be playing.

And I have a shit cpu with 512 megs of ram, don't have money for any laptops or a new comp (A jobless grade 9. And yes, I'm trying to get a job, so don't remind me.) and refuse to change to vista, because of all the obvious reasons.

And it's my own personal preferance.

ojsinnerz, yeah I would say grab a 360 then. Dead Rising is awesome. That game is actually the reason I bought a 360. I never cared for halo I just wanted zombies!

One more thing you could do oj is look for a used PS3. Used PS3's are pretty safe because you don't have to worry about rlod. Even gamestop was selling backwards compatibile 60gb and 80gb systems for $400 or less for a while. Should check there if you have one nearby?

Well, considering half of those games aren't even out on 360 yet, how would they be ported to the PC? Don't be silly.

Not being exclusive doesn't make the game any less good.
My point is just that 360 fanboys always scream the 360 has better exclusives than the PS3 when it in fact has very little exclusives at all. Just because a game gets ported doesn't make it a bad game. But if someone is going to bash the PS3 they are going to have to find a better reason than saying it has less exclusives than the 360.
Not to mention games are a silly thing to argue about when fanboys bash a console because games are played based on personal taste. You can't say one console is better because it has "game a" or "game b".

Games like Fallout 3 are PC/PS3/360 multiplatform even if it's not out. Same applied to Bioshock before its release.

Yes 360 fanboys scream about their library and stuff, but if you don't like 360 fanboys forcing their subject opinion on you, you shouldn't say untrue things to shut them up either.

If you want to shut them up for good, compile a list of 360 exclusives, 360 exclusives that ended up on PC, 360 exclusives that ended up on PS3, PS3 exclusives, PS3 exclusives that ended up on PC, PS3 exclusives that ended up on 360.

That'll be a fact, and once you derive an objective statement out of the fact, readers can tell who's being a fanboy trying to shove their garbage up your bandwidth and who's being the logical one.
